Welcome to the Captain Swift Inn. Casual, welcoming and upscale . . . totally renovated 1810 Inn, offering fine lodging and authentic hospitality, located in Camden's picturesque seaside village. Ideal location, only 2.5 blocks from the harbor, shops and restaurants, making it an easy walk for most guests! Nine uniquely decorated guest rooms; three of which are luxury suites - all offering extensive amenities for discerning travelers including flat screen televisions with premium channels; high speed internet; individually controlled heating and cooling; en-suite baths with spa showers and massage body sprays; plush robes; slippers; fresh flowers; local chocolates; fine linens and more! Our decadent suites showcase bathrooms with over-sized whirlpool tubs and separate spa showers; refreshment bars which house mini refrigerators stocked with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages; a Keurig and a microwave with popcorn ready to go! Some guest rooms have private decks; lofts and a private entrance. In the nicer weather, guests enjoy time on our large side deck as well as our stone patio. In the evenings the patio is the place to be to enjoy a beverage from our bar, while enjoying the fire pit and perhaps new-found friends. The Inn boasts 10 fireplaces (gas operated) with seven located in guest rooms; and the other three are in the inviting guest sitting rooms where guests can relax while trying their hand at checkers, chess or a number of other games. Each morning guests wake to the aromas of freshly ground and brewed local coffee. Our three course candlelit breakfast follows - beginning with a bountiful European inspired continental buffet, after which we serve the fruit of the day. The third course is either a sweet or savory entree, and many guests tell us after finishing breakfast, they are set until dinner! Throughout the day, guests can snack on assorted home-made cookies ; along with our own blend of trail mix; fresh whole fruit and a sweet baked item made at the Inn - all available 24/7 in our Keeping Room. A stocked beverage refrigerator with non-alcoholic drinks completes the offering. And if you are looking for something hot to drink - our Hot Sips nook has a vast assortment of teas; coffees and our own blend of hot chocolate. In the cooler months, we always have hot mulled apple cider available as well! For guest enjoyment, we offer "Bevs and Bites". We have a full service bar, so should you add a drink to your tab, we'll include a complimentary plate of local cheeses, chutney or hummus and grain crackers - always a nice start before heading out to dinner! Regardless of when you visit, we offer a number of romantic and fun packages and money saving specials to choose from. We also have several indulgent extras that you can add to your visit to include a couples' massage in your suite; chocolate dipped strawberries and so much more! Camden is a four season destination, centrally located along Maine's mid-coast, and is an excellent hub from which to plan day excursions to neighboring towns. During the warmer months complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrellas and towels are available for guest use and we can prepare a picnic hamper with assorted lunch items for your excursion with advance notice.
