Welcome to Piper's Peak, a beautiful home a few minutes from Boone with a wide open, long range view of the North Carolina mountains. Located 1.5 miles off of Highway 421, Piper's Peak has a newly remodeled kitchen with granite counters and a large island for preparing meals together. There are two tables allowing everyone to sit and enjoy dinner or one of many board games provided. The living room has a large, leather sectional with a TV, DVD, and a library of movies. The wall of windows shows the fabulous view, or you can step out onto the deck to enjoy. The king suite is on the main level, with a luxurious private bath. The wormwood vanity, jetted tub, and shower with multiple body sprays will give you a place to relax and find your calm. It also offers heated floors and a towel warmer to keep you pampered when you step out of the shower or bath. A second full bath is near the kitchen and the stairs to the loft. The shower has glass doors, and the custom mirror and shelving over the vanity are beautiful. On the lower level are two queen bedrooms, each with a TV and ceiling fan. There is a shared bath in the hallway that has a shower with glass doors. A gameroom with ping pong, foosball, seating, and a TV. In the loft, you'll have a perfect retreat for the children, or anyone who loves to play games. There is air hockey and an arcade, as well as a futon, game chairs, and a TV. Curtains can be pulled to block the sunlight and give extra privacy. Sleeping in the loft has a twin over full bunk bed, two twins, and a full sized futon. Outside by the deck is a large hot tub with stunning views of the mountains. In the back yard is also a fire pit surrounded by log seating. You'll have plenty to do without ever leaving the home. If you do wish to explore the High Country, you are only 10-12 minutes from Boone, 30 minutes to App Ski Mountain and Blowing Rock. Situated on a quiet road surrounded by woods on three sides, and long-range views from the back, Blue Mist is only about 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, approximately 12 miles from Boone and Valle Crucis, and approximately 17 miles from Banner Elk. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both about 9 miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort are both about 14 miles away and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 21 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is less than 15 miles away. Level entry, level front yard, and level parking make this an easy-access property year-round, as well as a handicap-friendly house. The garage provides direct parking and lower-level access. The rear decks on both levels stretch the width of the house, and offer both open-air and covered outdoor living and dining space, with a gas grill and outdoor dining table as well as lounging furniture on the upper/main level deck, and additional furniture on the lower deck.
