You'll love the private parking located right outside the door, as well as the two bedrooms and one bathroom which make it perfect for couples, small families, and business travelers. The townhouse is a separate space with a private entrance located at the end of the 1860 House, a Stowe landmark that is on the National Register of Historic Sites. The original wood beams inside speak to the past of this tastefully restored building with hardwood floors furnished with an eclectic mix of new and vintage finds. Wake well rested after a great night's sleep on our plush mattresses. Beat with heat with portable and window air conditioners installed from mid-June to mid-October. Convenient modern amenities such as a full kitchen and brand new washer and dryer free precious time to take in all that Stowe has to offer! There is a private entrance with a keypad lock. Our guests will have access to the entire townhouse as well as the small porch area with a chair outside the door, however, the large deck and lawn are for the use of the 1860 House guests only. Located in the village of Stowe, you'll be staying steps from Main Street. Stroll over to the Black Cap Cafe for a hot cup of coffee or stop at Butler's Pantry for a hearty breakfast before wandering through the unique local shops. Cross the street and check out the Stowe Free Library and Helen Day Art Center. The village area also offers many incredible restaurants and pubs - not to mention that Cork Wine Bar and Market is right next door! Grab your gear and head out into the fresh mountain air! Stowe is bustling with fun activities and festivals all year round. Hit the slopes in the winter, and in the warmer months hike the many trails which are part of the Stowe Land Trust or Appalachian Trail. The base of the 5.5 mile paved Stowe Recreation Path is conveniently located right off Main Street. There is a seasonal shuttle that runs from the village of Stowe to Stowe Mountain Resort that stops on Main Street. MLK and Columbus Day Weekends require a three-night stay.
