Home of the Stars is a lakefront at Skyland community in Zephyr Cove that boasts a lovely walking trail, a private beach and access to the plethora of activities and events offered by South Lake Tahoe. Between 1965 and 1983, celebrity performers for the Sahara Tahoe Hotel & Casino stayed at Home of the Stars as guests of the hotel. Although Elvis Presley had a private suite at the Sahara, other stars preferred the tranquility and spectacular panoramic views offered by the home. Today, as a private residence, guests can experience a little bit of history. Three spacious levels define Home of the Stars. The six bedrooms are contained on the top, entry level with a sauna to soothe the body after an exhilarating day on the slopes. The mid-level is where the action occurs with a gorgeous kitchen and sitting area with views, a living room with a fireplace, and pool table for entertainment. At the lowest level, the kids will enjoy the foosball table, television, kitchenette and access to the exterior. No need to venture upstairs for food and drinks during sunny days outside, just bring your treats down to the lowest level and spend the day lounging at your leisure, entering and exiting through the moving glass walls pocket doors. The 220' shared pier is a sight to behold amongst the granite boulders and a panorama of forest green pines and dazzling blue waters. It is enough to make you feel like a star!
