About The Property Manager

Jan and Mark Pask

Jan and Mark Pask converted their home at 815 Kearney Avenue in Cape May to the Luther Ogden Inn in 1997. They will celebrate 25 years in the bed and breakfast business in July 2022. Jan was a public school librarian before becoming an innkeeper. She is active in the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May and has served as scholarship chair. She is in her eighth year as President of Cape May Historic Accommodations and serves as Treasurer for VFW Auxiliary Post 386. Jan has served on the Mid-Atlantic Innkeepers Advisory Committee, the Tourism Advisory Board of Cape May and as a Trustee for the VFWA. In March of 2015, she was the opening speaker at the Bed and Breakfast Business Building Conference in Dulles, Va. In February 2021, Jan was a guest lecturer for St. John’s University (Queens, NY) for the “Managing a Bed & Breakfast Inn” undergraduate course. Mark worked in the paper industry as a national sales manager before retiring. He served on the Water Commission for the City of Cape May and is currently a member of the Shade Tree Commission and the Lafayette Park Advisory Committee. He is an Army veteran and a lifetime member of VFW Post 386. Mark was the 2018 recipient of the Military Veteran Leadership in Business Award presented by the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce. He likes to fish and garden and is responsible for most of the landscaping at the inn as well as for the fresh, organic produce and herbs we grow and use in our breakfasts each morning. We belong to ALP (Association of Lodging Professionals), AHLA (American Hotel & Lodging Association) Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts, Cape May Historic Accommodations, Southern Shore Destination Marketing Organization and the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May. In our spare time, we like to travel and cruise. We have two married sons and four adorable grandchildren.
