The bathroom features a walk-in shower for freshness. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals that you can enjoy on the lanai. The unit also comes equipped with a Keurig machine and 12-cup coffee maker, although Keurig pods are not supplied. Hono Kai is a delightful, beachfront complex that provides spectacular, sweeping views of the white, sandy coastline stretching south. From the white, sandy beaches and red Makena cinder cone to Ma'alaea Bay and Kahoolawe and Molokini isles, there is no shortage of breathtaking natural beauty to take in. From December to April, lucky visitors may be treated to a glimpse of Humpback Whales, who visit from Alaskan waters to have their calves. These magical creatures can be seen from the pool and the beachfront of the resort. The grounds at Hono Kai are impeccably maintained, including the pool, barbecue station, lounge chairs, and on-site laundry facilities. Free parking is available for one vehicle per unit, although it's important to note that there are no elevators. For those who enjoy walking, the 2.5-mile-long Sugar Beach is accessible at the end of the street via Haycraft Beach Park, and you can walk all the way to Kihei. The quaint Ma'alaea Village lies around half a mile west of Hono Kai and provides access to shopping, restaurants, the boat harbor, and the Maui Aquarium.
