The Sterling Estate offers more than 3,850 sq/ft (over 5,000 if you count the lanai) of luxurious living space in which to really immerse yourself into the Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs area desert lifestyle. The Sterling Estate is quite spacious and yet very cozy and inviting at the same time.  Nowhere is this more apparent than when you step into the marble foyer and find yourself staring not at, but through the beautifully appointed formal living room with grand fireplace...mental note is made: but you can't help but be drawn through this gorgeous room back outside through the south-facing glass wall to the inviting private outside living space. The entire backyard has a lush grassy lawn bordered by a 12 feet tall and 2 feet deep dense green ficus hedge. The focal point is the saltwater pool which is one of a kind in that it is both strikingly architectural in design but very much made to feel as if a part of the natural desert surroundings by incorporating the large desert rocks into the natural waterfalls that spill into the lap pool.  The outside living room, or lanai, has comfortable seating for 6 adults, a hidden flat-screen tv, dedicated air-conditioning, and twin fireplaces.  When it's time for dinner there is a sunken outside kitchen with an 8 burner gas grill surrounded by a counter bar with seating for 4 and an additional dining table that seats 4.  And as the day comes to an end the 8-person hot tub with natural waterfalls provides the perfect vantage point to watch the sunset behind the San Jacinto Mountains. You make your way back inside through the second wall of sliders into the more casual, but no less magnificent, great room where the large chef's kitchen blends seamlessly into the family room.  The newly renovated kitchen with new KitchenAid appliances boasts every utensil, tool, and pot or pan to make a chef drool. The family room complete with a large artfully designed ceiling fan, fireplace, and an entertainment center equipped with every form of entertainment you would need for a successful summer cookout or holiday dinner party. Between the kitchen and the formal living room is the formal dining room with temperature-controlled wine storage with room enough for several cases of your favorite vintages. There is seating for 8 adults around a beautiful glass-topped table.  Just off the kitchen are the laundry room and entry in from the 2+ car garage.   Working remotely?  This home has a fully-functioning private executive's office complete with a wireless color printer, cordless phone offering free calls to all of North America, and private high-speed WiFi internet with the added protection of a mesh router. The home's living quarters are split between Master and Guests with the Master Suites and children's room tucked on the East side of the home and the Guests' Suites down the corridor to the west.  The bedrooms are nothing less than shining examples of luxury.  The king-sized beds are dressed with the finest linens of the highest thread counts and big comforters with so many pillows.  Each bedroom has ceiling fans, a walk-in closet, drawers, a private full bath, large SmarTV, and its own private slider out to the patio and grassy lawns.   The Master Suite includes a media center, reading nook, fireplace, spa-like bathroom, and 2 walk-in closets.  The Master Bathroom is as close to Nirvana as one can hope to reach with large double vanities; an enormous, no-threshold, door-less, European-style shower; and a tub large enough for 2 with therapeutic jets which complete the spa experience.   This end of the home also has the children's room discreetly tucked away into creating a space where kids can be kids (but always within earshot of Mom and Dad). This home has all the contemporary conveniences we have all come to expect from an elegant vacation rental found in a frequently traveled city and at the same time, it is situated in such a private way that you feel like you are the only people for miles and miles.  With the enormous well-appointed public rooms and outside living spaces you won't be able to or need to, distinguish between inside and outside as you enjoy the 350 days and nights of mostly ideal weather the Palm Springs area and Rancho Mirage, in particular, are famous for.
