Riverview "Organic" Bed and Breakfast operates out of a historic horse drawn Firehouse, built in the mid 1800's by the Erie Railroad, in the original Piermont settlement. There are still tar markings on the brick wall that show where the horses were stabled when it was still a two story building. Sometime in the late 1800's, the stable was converted to a single story addition and served for a short time as the Village Hall. With the tidal Sparkill Creek on one side, one can imagine the Firemen pumped the water up to fill their tanks. (Remember there were no fire hydrants at the time) and with the dirt road on the other side, envision them quickly getting on their way. This exclusive, pet friendly bed and breakfast offers girlfriends’ getaways, and romantic couples’ stays, as well as for working travelers and those exploring the history of the area. "The Bed & Breakfast " consists of two Private Suites with queen size beds, living areas and private bathrooms. Shops and roughly 16 restaurants to choose from are just a five-seven minutes walk away (depending on your gait) The suites are available for short & long-term stays . As a private home Bnb, the owner lives on premises and is available as needed. The neighborhood has some charming historic homes that take you back to an earlier time. We hope that you find it as charming as we do. The wooden shutters, window boxes, and courtyard next to the gurgling creek, all come together to create an old world European charm. During your stay enjoy an "Organic" Home-made breakfast (much of it grass-fed) just like in days gone by before commercial spraying became the norm. Come stay at the Capone House in Atlantic City! This history filled property was once used by Al Capone to smuggle alcohol during the prohibition era. Using boats to come in through the covered dock, Capone and his crew would unload the alcohol through a pulley system used to pull it into the garage. Once inside, the crew settled in at the indoor bar for a tasting! Come experience history and enjoy all that Atlantic City has to offer! Upon entry, you will walk into the foyer. There is a circular bench on the right which Capone's security guard would sit on with a Tommy gun to look out for any law enforcement. Walk into the first living area where you will find plenty of seating. The dock is attached to the back door here, but unfortunately is unavailable for use. The ground level is where you will find 2 of the 4 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed as well as a twin bunk bed. At the back of the house is the second bedroom which has a full bed. Upon walking upstairs you will walk into the main living area and kitchen. This is where Capone and his crew held meetings and larger gatherings. There is plenty of space for everyone to gather here! Walking back into the hallway you will find the third bedroom which has two queen beds side by side as well as a smart TV. Further down the hall is the primary suite which has a king bed, ensuite bathroom and a small patio to enjoy the morning sun. The laundry room is also attached to the primary. There is a deck on the second floor which overlooks the water and has a small table and seating. The deck is covered and has a fan so it's not too hot during the summer months. Other than the garage, the entire property is yours to enjoy! -There is a fire pit and grill near the front entrance. Bring your own fire wood or purchase locally. Atlantic City is the place to be during peak season! This property is surrounded by fun times while being in the area. The beds are super comfortable with Egyptian cotton sheets. The furniture is all pet friendly Pottery Barn. The kitchen has plenty of space to cook up a breakfast or dinner and has a dishwasher to help clean up. Most of all, The Beach Bungalow has the BEST neighbors! Mike and Patti (Unit 1 across the patio) are TONS of fun. They are the epitome NW Irish and why people go to the beach. Their son is super good and respectful and it is a very kid friendly neighborhood. The place is yours! I am available for any issues that crop up.
