The hotel/condo was built in 1977 by the Japanese, during a time when money was no object. The primary building materials are marble and gold leaf. The room is a good size, much larger than a hotel room, you will be very comfortable. The view is from the 20th floor and in one direction you see the mountains in the other the Pacific Ocean straight ahead is Diamond Head. This Unit has a California King Size bed. The view is on the much preferred Diamond Head side of the building, which has an Ocean view towards Diamond Head. This side of the building has a much better view of the Ocean and Pacific Trade winds coming straight in the Large lanai door. You have 24-hour valet parking at $50/day. There is free parking along the canal at the end of the block if you can find a space or in the neighborhood on the other side of the canal. The condo is adjacent to De Russey Park, and De Russey Park Beach. This is a very nice area where the 'Beautiful People' go. There are also free tennis courts in the park with night lighting. It is a short walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the Royal Hawaiian Pink Palace, or the Sheraton Mona Surfrider; but it is also very, very, nice to return to the quiet of this condo at the Royal Garden and get away from all the hoi polloi, and crowds of tourists, and children. So you get the best of all worlds within a five-minute walk. The world-famous Ala Mona shopping center is also nearby. The bus stop is 1/2 block away. There is no need for a car.
