As you enter on the ground floor, a full flight of stairs leads you to the inviting second-floor living space where panoramic views of the lake await. Just 50 steps away, you'll find your private shoreline where you can relax, barbecue, or gather around the firepit for cozy evenings under the stars. Take in the breathtaking view of the Canal Lighthouse, complete with its nostalgic foghorn echoing across the water. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, The Resting Place offers an unforgettable escape in the heart of Door County. *This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other rowdy gatherings. Important Property Notes: • The entrance to the home is on the ground level, however the property is located on the second level. Guests must ascend a full flight of stairs to enter the property. • Gas fireplace is for aesthetics only and is not for guest use. • The Lake Michigan water in front of the home is not swimmable. Door County Land Trust Nature Preserve includes a sandy beach and is suitable for swimming, which is just minutes away. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. • We supply one each of travel size shampoo, conditioner and bodywash per full bathroom. • Due to health and safety guidelines made by the health department, all pantry items must be removed between guests.
