Hotel critic and travel writer Dale Northrup and innkeeper Misael Valdes Garcia have converted this 1830 Federal-style brick row house into an urban inn in the heart of Portland’s West End Historic District. The Percy has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, named Best Bed & Breakfast in New England by Yankee Magazine, and seen in Vogue, Travel & Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, Budget Travel, NY Times, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, and more. Guests reside steps from cultural venues, historic sites, coffee houses, and a dozen restaurants around Longfellow Square. Guests select from traditional guest rooms with private bath, junior suites with a fireplace, or a suite with adjoining study ideal for business work or to place an extra bed. All rooms feature private baths, climate control, refrigerators stocked with complimentary soft drinks, flat screen cable TV, and rates include breakfast and parking. Two rooms are situated on the ground floor for those minimizing steps. Buffet breakfast is served in the second floor breakfast room 8-10am. The inn's bricked courtyard and side garden is open for reading, leisure, or wine time or you may choose the rear deck for conversation and sun.
