We admit it, our closest friends and family thought we were crazy when Carolyn quit her job as an officer in the financial industry and we announced we were moving to New Mexico, outside a tiny village called Abiquiu, to build an authentic yet modern adobe dream home.   Somewhere during the build process we decided we had to share this with others, and the idea of The Grand Hacienda Bed and Breakfast surfaced. We were up for the adventure and The Grand Hacienda was born.

We started designing and building The Grand Hacienda  in 2017. Finally, in 2020 we were ready to share a new and unforgettable way to experience northern New Mexico for the most discerning traveler. We built the authentic and yet modern adobe hacienda with luxury in mind.  We live on half of the property and are excited to have you experience this magical spot.

Tom and I love New Mexico. We respect the history, the culture, the land. We are also adventurers. We love to hike, ski, kayak, scuba dive, travel and explore. We love mountains and water. We feel blessed to live here full-time since 2017.  And, now - we are excited to share it with you.  Come and experience the magic of this land with us!
