This 3BR / 2BA home sits on 5 acres for a spacious and peaceful getaway while still being 15 minutes from town. Our photographer described this place as "Cozy and super charming. Handmade feel with many artsy touches like original mosaics, wood and slate floors. A wood stove for experienced fire tenders on cold days and evenings. This is a one of a kind place that is unique and hard to find. NOTE: It has a very outdoorsy feel. You're likely to see squirrels, birds, maybe even a fox or raccoon. Summertimes are usually full of bugs — and they might find themselves inside your home. Cobwebs can appear literally overnight. For those weary of the great outdoors or nature's creatures, this place is not for you. We do not fumigate and choose to use natural pest management strategies whenever possible. The home is chemical and fragrance-free for easier breathing and better sleep. The owners built the home by hand using recycled and repurposed materials. Enjoy the mosaics made from recycled tiles, the amazing re-homed picture windows and stained glass, and notice that each part of the home was built with love and appreciation for the materials used. This place is truly a work of art that stands in collaboration with nature. There is parking for 3-5 cars. Uber and Lyft do not usually come out here, so having your own car is important. The closest corner store is 5 minutes away - larger grocery stores are 15 minutes out, as are most restaurants. The owner lives here part-time and her co-host lives nearby. You'll have the entire house and the surrounding property to yourself and will likely never see us. PET FEE: Well-behaved pets are welcome with a $50 fee (per pet) per stay. Please inquire about our pet policy. We ask that each guest complete this identification process and purchase either a deposit or waiver. The $500 deposit comes with a $15 transaction fee and the waiver costs a flat $35 to purchase. These costs are nonrefundable while the $500 deposit is refundable and will be released within 7-14 days after the reservation ends. This process is meant to protect both us as hosts and also you as a guest should unexpected damage occur on the property. CANCELLATIONS The cancellation policy will apply to all bookings. An additional $150 cancellation fee may apply to cover credit card processing fees.
