You are conveniently located near the pristine beaches of Hatteras Island with world class surfing, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, museums, charter boats, marinas, the Ocracoke passenger ferry, and the free Ocracoke vehicle ferry.   Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a charcoal park grill, a spacious yard, and a driveway that accommodates up to 3 vehicles.  Single Level: As you enter the home from the front door staircase, you are taken over by the character of On a Whim. The open living and dining area provides a timeless vibe with beautiful hardwood floors and unique decor. The living area provides ample seating and a large flat screen TV. The dining area provides a table that seats 4, a retro buffet cabinet, and a wood burning stove. The well equipped galley kitchen has everything you will need to prepare today’s catch.  Off the kitchen is an additional seating area, with views of the marsh and creek and access to a sun deck. The seating area is also connected to Bedroom #1, a spacious Queen bedroom with a flat screen TV and a private half bathroom. Bedroom #2  is furnished with a Twin Bunk Bed and Twin Bed and a flat screen TV Located off the hallway is a full bathroom. Extras: 3 Smart TVs, DVD player, WiFi, charcoal grill, covered deck, sun deck, deck furniture, and parking for 3 vehicles. No Smoking. No Pets. Distance to beach access: 1.5 mile. Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub. Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.
