The town of Banner Elk is 10 minutes away, providing access to shopping and local restaurants. A few other High Country attractions within 15 minutes include Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, Banner Elk Winery, and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Course.   Highland House, with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge, is the perfect setting for your high-country getaway. There is also WiFi, YouTube TV, central heating and cooling, and a washer and dryer.
