Welcome to Appalachian Satisfaction!  This private and classic Valle Crucis log cabin is the perfect choice for your next NC mountain vacation no matter if you prefer to be minutes from historic downtown Boone and ASU or minutes from the year-round fun on Grandfather Mountain or in Banner Elk. One of the spots most enjoyed by guests is the covered front porch, complete with rocking chairs and other seating. Rock away your worries while enjoying your morning coffee or perhaps a glass of wine from the nearby Grandfather Vineyard.  Visit during leaf season, and you can even walk over to the popular Valle Country Fair!  The living area embraces you with mountain charm, lots of light, and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace.  The open floor plan makes it easy for all to interact throughout your stay.  Guests enjoy the oversized country table with seating for ten, and the kitchen provides ample counter space for meal prep. The newly installed central air will help you beat the heat!   This level also features a powder room and the master bedroom that includes a king bed and master bath with shower/tub combo.  Head upstairs to the large, open loft area overlooking the living room and you are greeted by views of the surrounding property.  This area has two sofas for relaxing or curling up with a good book, and there is plenty of space for the kids to play.  This level also has a full bath with shower/tub combo, and two more bedrooms.  The first features a queen bed, and the second has a twin over full bunk bed for the kids. The lower level of this cabin has a family room with seating and video game system.  There is also a fourth sleeping area, another master with queen bed and full bath with shower/tub combo.  After a day of hiking, exploring, or fun on the slopes, guests enjoy returning to Appalachian Satisfaction for an evening of relaxation and enjoyment.  Take in the beauty of Valle Crucis, you can even cook up the trout you caught earlier on the gas grill. Relax away your cares in the soothing hot tub!  No matter the reason for your visit, or the season, this Valle Crucis log cabin rental is an excellent choice.  The location is peaceful and private, yet only about three miles from the historic Mast General Store and Valle Crucis Community Park.  Another ten minutes finds you in Boone, or just a few minutes further to Blowing Rock or Banner Elk.  - Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.  - Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided - This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home. - AWD/4WD recommended year round, as the last 0.2 miles is a narrow, gravel incline. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended. Chains may also be necessary during times of snow or ice. - Guests returning to Appalachian Satisfaction may receive a discount of 10%, not to be combined with other discounts to the rent. CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
