History

According to archaeologists, the history of Sedona dates back about 10,000 years when the Native American cave dwellers (first settlers) occupied the caves around and in the Sedona area. In 1583, a Spanish expedition looking for Indian mines discovered the Sedona area. On approval of the petition, he named the postal office Sedona after his spouse.
