There is no or limited Uber or transportation services in the area. In the winter months when snow is likely (October through April) AWD or 4WD is recommended along with all weather or snow tires with good tread. The twin bedroom, front queen bedroom and master bedrooms do not have curtains or blinds, the benefit of being in the country with no neighbors but the deer. Light sleepers may want to bring sleep masks. The house is child friendly but not child proofed, please supervise children at all times! The home has a private well and septic. No sprinklers, kiddie pools or Slip N Slides, these can quickly drain a well leaving you with no water and can potentially burn up a water pump causing expensive damage. Private and serene, it sits on a hillside overlooking the valley and mountains beyond. Ten acres of woods and peacefulness are yours to enjoy. The road leading to the home is a 1.8 mile country road, gravel and dirt, and is maintained by the nearby towns of Bovina Center and Andes. At the home there is parking for 3 to 4 vehicles at the top of the driveway, in front of the garage or along the driveway. Main Level There are two short sets of steps to get the entrance, which is the kitchen on the main level. The main level of the home has an open floorpan. A spacious Chef's Kitchen features a 5 burner LP gas stovetop, convection wall oven, wine fridge, porcelain tile countertops, stainless farm sink and breakfast bar. Fully stocked with everything you need to prepare and serve meals. A sitting area just off the kitchen has a floor to ceiling fieldstone, double sided fireplace and sliding doors leading onto the L shaped sunroom that wraps around to the kitchen. The sunroom, with walls of windows for an amazing view, has a sitting area and 10 foot custom made live edge dining table. A second set of sliding doors connects the sunroom to the kitchen while a built in countertop serves as a pass through to the sitting area. The perfect buffet or drink station! There is also a door in the sunroom that leads to the deck with outdoor furniture and seating. On the other side of the fireplace is an intimate living area with brand new, comfy L shaped sofa and Smart TV. Two walls of windows add to the ambience, letting the outdoors in. On the side of the fireplace is a wood stove, no chilly winters here! Just off the sitting area, the laundry room is tucked behind double doors. Down a short hall there is a queen bedroom, stairs to the ground level, a full bathroom and another door leading to the back deck. Top Floor Up a flight of stairs, you'll find a spacious hallway with skylight and bookcase. There is a bathroom with tub/shower combo, one queen bedroom with double doors leading to the deck, and another queen bedroom with en suite. The master bedroom is 900SF and includes a fieldstone fireplace, two sitting area, desk, King bed and en suite. East, West and South facing windows provide dramatic views. The bathroom has a walk in shower, jetted tub and two vanities. Ground Level From the main level go down a flight of stairs to the ground level. An enormous, spa-like bathroom has a garden tub and walk in shower room plus a large bathroom closet. The billiards room is open to the stairway and has a regulation size billiards table, fireplace and french doors leading to the covered ground level deck. Another living room is just past the billiards room and has a Smart TV and a leather L shaped sofa. There are two exercise rooms! The first room, with spectacular view, has a Peloton bike, yoga mats, Smart TV and hand weights. A multi-station weight bench is in the next room for a complete workout. Let's Go Outside Bear's Eye View has approximately 3000SF of composite decking to enjoy! The deck wraps around the house and has stairs to get to each level. The back deck looks into the woods with it's tree canopy, fern covered forest floor, original stone walls and large boulders jutting out of the landscape. A Weber propane BBQ grill and Kudu open fire grill are available year round. Down a flight of stairs on the left side the house, the deck continues. A covered walkway along the ground level of the home brings you to the double doors of the billiards room. Up a flight of stairs you'll find a door to the main floor living room and as you continue around to the front of the house there is a sitting area - the prime outdoor seating area for gathering and relaxing. Another flight of stairs at the back of the house brings you to the top floor deck which runs along the right side of the home. Double doors here bring you to the queen bedroom on the top floor. Views of the mountain, valley and woods are on every level! Plus, if you're a sun lover or prefer the shade, the home is perfectly situated to provide both.
