  • Weather

  • The weather in San Antonio...is hot, most of the time. There’s no two ways around the sometimes blistering heat, but they’re moderated by the cool Texas air at nighttime. Pack light clothes for the daytime, and athletic  clothes if you’re going to be doing a lot of walking or exploring.

At night, you should be fine with a light jacket in case it gets a little breezy. Most of Texas is hot (which is no surprise), but don’t let those cool desert nights catch you off guard!

  • History

  • When it comes to history in Texas, it's hard to top the Alamo in San Antonio, the site of the historic Battle of the Alamo in 1836. It’s where the phrase “Remember the Alamo” comes from.

The Mexican-American war over Texas was absolutely devastating for the city of San Antonio, and took years for the population to recover & the economy to bounce back. After the U.S. was victorious, San Antonio became a huge cattle hub and in 1877, a railroad connected San Antonio to much of the United States, speeding up its ascent into a major Southwest economic player.

Today,  the city is one of the fastest growing in the country and surprisingly  enough, the seventh largest city in America population wise. There’s so  much potential and exciting development happening, and San Antonio continues to thrive and grow.
