  • History

  • Ogunquit means “beautiful place by the sea” in the native Abenaki language, and  over time transformed from a maritime village into somewhat of a small  art colony. Due to its proximity to the beach and attractions like Perkins Cove, there was an influx of summer vacationers and so hotels & bed and breakfast started to pop up around the town.
