A short drive on Blue Ridge Parkway will lead you to more of nature’s wonders, Doughton State Park, Cumberland Knob, and Fairystone Park. There is also something to do in our area whether it be horseback riding, hiking at the Yadkin Island Park, or swimming in the clear mountain lake at Hanging Rock State Park. Magnolia House and Gardens started life as the private residence of the Sifford family in 1890, just 3 years after Clover incorporated as a town. Sitting on Main Street, just a block and a half away from the town center, this house has seen a lot of changes. But what hasn’t changed is the character and original features of the house. With wide hallways, large rooms, and shady porches, the house is a reminder of simpler times and southern traditions. In 2015, the house was opened as a bed and breakfast serving up Southern hospitality, food and comfort. The meals are home cooked, and come with conversation and lots of coffee.
