Fully immerse yourself in the distinct charm and character of the antebellum South with a stay at our historic and elegantly restored plantation home that has been converted into a bed and breakfast inn. From the rocking chair-lined front porch to a fireplace in your bedroom, you won’t find a more accommodating place to relax in the whole country, we do declare! From ornate fireplaces to glimmering chandeliers, to original heart pine floors—Belle Air (Belair) will take you on a journey back in time. The inn features 13-foot high ceilings, beautiful antiques, and antebellum architecture. The inn has become a very popular location for movies and music videos. Maybe your favorite Nashville musician filmed a video at our inn? Belle Air is the original name of the historic 19th-century mansion located just 5.5 miles from downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Over the past 3 years, the mansion underwent a dramatic transformation, going from endangered treasure to a great house restored to its former glory. Now, it is open to the public for the first time as a historic Inn for all to enjoy. We are the only historic Bed and Breakfast in Nashville and you can learn more about our B&B and our restoration by reading our history. From floor to ceiling, Belle Air is truly a Southern gem. We handled the restoration with great care, preserving the existing layout and bringing the original heart pine floors black to life. Inside Belle Air, you’ll find many opulent finishes such as the 27 chandeliers that grace its ceilings.
Welcome to a one-of-a-kind B & B that spans more than a century of community engagement. The Inn we are welcoming you into is a former church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests marvel that today’s gracious site, with its many contemporary amenities, originally opened in the Gilded Age to guests in Victorian attire. Since opening its doors in 1895, the Tuxedo Park STL B & B building complex has housed seven different congregations. The 2nd floor classrooms and nursery rooms of the school house became four spacious guest rooms with private baths. The adjoining original Akron Plan auditorium with its exterior curved wall became the main guest gathering area and kitchen. Guests relax in the 1908 sanctuary, which retains its 24-foot ceilings, original stained glass, and the only two original light fixtures not destroyed by water. The raised altar area holds a private dining area for 24 family members and friends. You can access the self serve option and book directly online. If you have questions, feel free to give us a call first before booking by phone with the innkeeper. You can also call to schedule a tour for yourself or to view accommodations for out of town family and friends.
