Perched up on its hilltop lot and surrounded by a grove of redwood trees, its neighborhood location is perfect for a weekend retreat, romantic or friends' group getaway - or Golden Girls reunion. The cabin is 2 levels, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths with a large comfy couch (approx 3 feet x 10 feet) in the living room. We do not recommend this property for persons with mobility needs. The Shady Lady is the perfect getaway from the busy city life! This cozy cabin has 2-3 off street parking, and sleeps 4 guests with capacity of 5 (one person on the wide comfy couch). High speed internet for all your streaming needs, Apple TV, and a cozy wood burning fireplace. The entry of the main house is on the top level (about 50 step climb to the top) where you'll find a large open floor plan living room (w/ couch) kitchen, 1 master suite w/ queen size bed and Stearns w/ Fosters Luxury Plush pillowtop mattress, 4 pillows in both medium and firm softness, sheets, down comforter, and 1 full bath w/ back door to outside deck for cocktail hour. The Kitchen is equip with all of your cooking needs: gas stove, microwave, toaster, various cooking utensils, and refrigerator. The downstairs includes the second bedroom with queen-size bed w/ Caspers memory foam mattress, 4 pillows in medium and firm softness, alternative down comforter, sheets, and its own separate full bath. There is access to the 3-person hot tub located on the first front deck of the house. Plenty of outside patio space for outdoor barbecuing, furniture for dining, and a hammock for some much-needed rest and relaxation. We also offer board games, playing cards, and tennis rackets for the full size tennis court across the street! The interior living area of the house is approximately 1000 sq. ft. Your well-behaved dog is welcome! Please only 1 dog maximum, no cats. Dog must be medium sized, no more than 40 lbs. We charge a small Pet vacation fee of $100 for the duration of your stay. This is one of the original homes built in downtown Guerneville in 1910, with lots of the original fixtures from the era. The home is all one level, with only 2 steps to the entrance so is easily accessible for the not so "sure footed". The home has central heat and air, ceiling fan in the main living area, and additional A/C in the dining area. Step inside to find 1300 square feet of living space, accented by Banana leaf wallpaper in the dining area, comfortable seating in the main living space with reading nook, all of which easily convert to sleeping space. The bedrooms are well appointed and decorated in festive Caribbean style decor. There is plenty of clothing storage space and seating available for all of your luggage. There is a separate office and sleeping space off of the main bedroom. An extra monitor and height adjustable desk for those of you that want to work remotely. The WiFi is the highest speed available from Xfinity, so streaming and WiFi calling (necessary in this area with low to no reception for most phone carriers). The bathroom has a tiled high ceiling open shower and the toilet is Victorian style (head on top). The water pressure is updated with new plumbing and high-water pressure for those of you that like hot showers. About This Place A classic, large, Russian River vacation home, perfect for friends and families to gather. Charming 1920’s style architecture, combined with modern updates, providing both room to spread out, yet be together. Nestled in the redwoods of Rio Nido, a small community along the Russian River, just outside the town of Guerneville. A quiet, comfortable place to hang out and relax or as a starting point for a wide variety of activities and adventures in beautiful Sonoma County. The Space Large deck wraps around much of the building, providing plenty of outdoor space for sitting and lounging. Large outdoor dining table (seats 8), string lights for nighttime ambiance and gas grill are in a private area in the back of the house, with easy access to a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a large dining table, electric stove and refrigerator, along with dishes and cookware. The large living room has lots of seating and a TV with cable and wifi. There is a table and chairs in the living room for work, playing games or doing puzzles. Wood stove in the living room heats efficiently, with glass viewing door. The house has four bedrooms, two offer California king size beds, one has a queen size bed and a single bed, and the last has two single beds. We respectfully ask that guests not cross the yard in between the main house and cabin nor fence or gate to explore the area around the owner's cottage. Pool: LLL has a large, newly renovated in-ground pool. Swim at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty. Unsupervised children are not allowed. The pool is not heated. Absolutely no glass around the pool. Broken glass near or in the pool will result in extra charges. Pool House: The bathroom in the pool house has a cold (only) water shower for rinsing off before using the pool or hot tub.
