Nestled on acres of scenic rolling hills near the Missouri River, The Inns at St. Albans offers high-end hospitality in a magnificent, historic setting. A premiere destination for overnight stays, outdoor weddings, corporate meetings, dining events and private parties, we welcome you and yours to gather, retreat and celebrate amidst these extraordinary surroundings. Once considered America’s western frontier, this land was first charted by Lewis and Clark. Three historic properties anchor The Inns at St. Albans. Old Barn Inn was originally built as a barn in 1840. Today it operates as an intimate indoor dining and outdoor event venue. The Studio Inn was built by renowned architect, Theodore Link, the designer of St. Louis Union Station. In the early 1900s, the palatial estate served as the summer home of Irene Walter Johnson, wife of Oscar Johnson, co-founder of the International Shoe Company. Guests can now indulge in luxurious stays and grand open-air celebrations at the mansion. A staple of the St. Albans community since its establishment in 1892, Head’s Store continues its tradition of offering sustenance and a gathering space for our community.
Welcome to a one-of-a-kind B & B that spans more than a century of community engagement. The Inn we are welcoming you into is a former church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests marvel that today’s gracious site, with its many contemporary amenities, originally opened in the Gilded Age to guests in Victorian attire. Since opening its doors in 1895, the Tuxedo Park STL B & B building complex has housed seven different congregations. The 2nd floor classrooms and nursery rooms of the school house became four spacious guest rooms with private baths. The adjoining original Akron Plan auditorium with its exterior curved wall became the main guest gathering area and kitchen. Guests relax in the 1908 sanctuary, which retains its 24-foot ceilings, original stained glass, and the only two original light fixtures not destroyed by water. The raised altar area holds a private dining area for 24 family members and friends. You can access the self serve option and book directly online. If you have questions, feel free to give us a call first before booking by phone with the innkeeper. You can also call to schedule a tour for yourself or to view accommodations for out of town family and friends.

The inn offers large smoke-free guest rooms and suites in the mansion, each elegantly appointed with Victorian antiques, all with a private bath. Each room has a hypo-allergenic feather-bed. We have carefully selected fabrics, materials, and textures to blend with one of the finest 19th century furniture collections in the Midwest. This private, Victorian estate is nestled on 36 acres of Rolling Meadows, tall woodlands, and flowered gardens. A must stop, the inn focuses on the warmth and simple beauty provided by nature. Days can be spent on the veranda admiring the flight of a hummingbird. Or walk the grounds; curl up with a book by the pond, or sit on the balcony catching a cool breeze. The inn has captured the spirit of adventure with Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Becky Thatcher, and Mark Twain's stories about life on the Mississippi River. So come see why it has been called the finest lodging in Hannibal and one of the "Top Ten Inns" in the Midwest. "I spent many nights with John and Helen Garth in their spacious, beautiful home," Mark Twain wrote to his wife, Olivia, in 1882. "We started getting ready for your visit over 100 years ago"...
