About The Property

Kennebunkport’s 1802 House Bed and Breakfast Inn is an historic, independent, owner operated six bedroom Colonial design inn constructed in 1802. Extensions were added over the years, and in the 1990s it was converted into the charming bed and breakfast you see today. The 1802 House Bed and Breakfast Inn is now considered one of Kennebunkport's finest historic inns. Our guest rooms take their names from places in Maine and Anglophiles will note that these names come from places in England as well. Most notably are two castles: the widely known Windsor Castle and the lesser-known, Arundel Castle. Our six beautiful guest rooms offer true comfort and modern amenities such as fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, premium bedding, plush robes, deluxe toiletries and much more. A freshly prepared three-course breakfast made with local and organic ingredients is included each morning of your stay. Inn-baked cookies, hot and cold beverages and other treats are available each afternoon. Our quiet, tranquil neighborhood is perfect for a relaxing Kennebunkport getaway. At the same time, the inn is just a short walk to the popular Dock Square village center with its galleries, shops and restaurants. We lie along the 15th fairway of the historic Cape Arundel Golf Course, making the 1802 Bed and Breakfast Inn an ideal location for golfers.

Carl and Eileen Robley are originally from North West England. They moved to California with their two children in 2005 and then to the East Coast in 2011. After eight years of living in Syracuse, they chose to move to Kennebunkport for the breathtaking views and friendly folk along with the history and spectacular coastlines that reminded them of home. Before becoming Innkeepers, Carl worked in communications and Eileen was a healthcare professional. Carl is a tinkerer and enjoys taking things
