Dave and Heidi Lanford welcome you to The Iris Inn Bed & Breakfast in Waynesboro, Virginia. Nestled on 12 wooded acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, this modern facility is ideal for a weekend romantic retreat. The inn also offers a refreshing change of pace for the business traveler or a tranquil setting for the tourist to spend a few nights or a week. The inn was architecturally designed for comfort and for the mountain views and woodsy feel. All rooms have private access to outdoor decks with plenty of seating to enjoy the scenery, read a book, or take a snooze. Its convenient location provides a home base for exploring many of the area attractions, including the Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, The University of Virginia, Monticello, and many fine local wineries. The focal point of the inn is the great room with its 28-foot stone fireplace and a 48-square foot canvas depicting wildlife in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A full breakfast is served in the great room and features an entree along with homemade breads, coffee, juice, and fruit. A “bottomless” cookie jar is located on the sideboard and beverages are available at check-in time. Lightening fast fiber optic internet complimentary, allowing guests to stream their favorite shows.
Dave is a native Alabamian, born in Birmingham, Alabama. He then moved to Tampa, Florida, graduating from University of South Florida. Tampa was his home until 1999. Dave enjoys golf, a good hike and a good joke. Heidi is a native Virginian, who lived in South and North Carolina as well as Tallahassee, Florida. She enjoys cooking, gardening, UVA basketball, and walking the Appalachian Trail.
