About The Innkeepers
Robin and Kitty
Kit and Robin Stauffer are both proud Pennsylvania natives. Kitty grew up in the village of Hometown, in Schuylkill County, and Robin is from Sellersville, in Bucks County. They met in 1980 while attending Penn State University’s Hazleton campus and have been married for 35 years. Parents to two grown children, they are now proud grandparents to two grandchildren.
After Robin’s retirement, they returned “back home” to Pennsylvania after Robin’s nearly 26-year career in the US Army. He was a logistics officer and strategic planner and served in light infantry, airborne and ranger units and on staffs at various levels. Kit held many administrative and executive assistant positions in numerous locations as the Army assigned them to new duty stations. Although the family traveled across the country numerous times, they feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve our country and raise their children in so many different areas of our nation.
On family vacations, Kit and Robin often stayed at Bed and Breakfasts and found they had an interest in Innkeeping, and often discussed owning and operating a B&B ‘some day.’ A few years after Robin retired from the Army, they did some soul searching and decided it was the right step.
The official greeter is Rehab, a lab-mix and a very sweet, very calm dog. Rescued in 2006 after three previous owners returned her to the SPCA, Kit and Robin brought her home for ‘rehabilitation’- hence her name. She is a wonderful addition, extremely well behaved, loves attention and is a “lover and leaner.”
“We are deeply blessed to have this opportunity to continue to serve by extending genuine hospitality to our guests at Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast. We’re honored to be the caretakers of this farmhouse and stewards of the land.”... show more...
