Enjoy the best of Gettysburg with a real 1809 Civil War Farmhouse on the Gettysburg Battlefield. We are family and dog friendly. We have ten rooms in the Farmhouse, one room in the Barn, and a private cottage. Our historians present a variety of interesting programs about the history of Gettysburg at 8 AM right before breakfast. Our delicious full hot breakfasts feature the chef’s choice entree, breakfast meat, farm potatoes, baked goods, fruit, orange juice, and coffee and tea.
The field stone farmhouse was General Wesley Merritt’s headquarters during the cavalry battle on the property. The 1809 barn became a field hospital. If you are into ghost stories and investigations, we welcome you. We have fun with our ghost stories. Our Historic Barn Venue and Solarium Event Venue are available for parties, weddings, and business gatherings. We can accommodate up to 120 guests in the barn for a wedding reception. Our 30 acre wildlife preserve has lots of trails for hikers and explorers. We are located on the south edge of the Gettysburg National Military Park. We share a driveway with the South Cavalry Field monuments right below Pickett’s Charge and behind Big Round Top. The downtown tourist district is an easy five minute drive. Come and relax in our beautiful historic setting. We’d love to see you!
