Welcome to Brewster House Bed & Breakfast. Our Freeport, Maine bed and breakfast inn is the perfect spot for a trip to LL Bean, Freeport outlet shopping, your base from which to explore the Maine coast, or for a romantic getaway!
At Brewster House, we’re about comfort in an atmosphere of simple elegance. Our beds and ironed linens will seduce you, and our fresh ground coffee and three-course gourmet breakfast will start your day with a happy, relaxed smile. Our inn was built in the late 19th century blossoming of Freeport, and the amazing quality of the built-in details and materials of this 5,000 square foot home reflects the wealth created in Maine in this period. Our 9’ ceilings, large private baths, Matouk linens, large fireplaced rooms, bay windows, cypress floors, mahogany mantelpiece, and Italian marble tiled hearth are yours to luxuriate in! We have parking for 11 cars, a porch to rock on with your glass of wine or Iced Tea, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and a large backyard garden for your function, or nap in one of our colorful Adirondack chairs.
A Freeport, Maine Bed and Breakfast Convenient to All the Area Offers
Freeport Village, LL Bean, restaurants and outlets are within a short three block walk, yet we are on the quiet side of the highway access. We are only a quarter of a mile from the Maine coast, and on the turn east of the Maine coast, with the glacially carved rocky, spruce covered peninsulas, beaches, rivers, islands, harbors, lighthouses, and lobster shacks that are so emblematic of “the real Maine.” Portland (and the airport) is only 15 minutes south. The Mahoosic and White Mountains are a scant 90 minutes west of Brewster House. We are minutes from Bowdoin and Bates Colleges, and less than an hour from Colby College.
Maine has the longest contiguous coastline of any of the continental United States, so be sure to take advantage of letting us help you plan your itinerary, based on your interests.

Hello and Welcome. We are Kelleigh & Dave, your hosts. We, along with our children–Ben, Davis & Ruby–would love to host you for your Maine travels.
We are self proclaimed Maine-hattanites–yes, you can use that 🙂 . We’ve made Maine our home for the last year and a half and are now “living the dream” as business owners and innkeepers. After 20 years in the best city in the world, we bring our New York sensibilities to your stay, striving to bring our guests the best in customer service, luxury accommodations and delicious cuisine.
Becoming innkeepers has been a dream for both of us! In fact it’s what connected us in the first place. We met almost a decade ago the old fashioned way–online. After we got through the cursory question & answer phase we struck a chord when we asked one another about life dreams and aspirations. Unprompted, we each answered the same: to become an innkeeper. Having both spent years in hospitality–Dave as an executive chef and Kelleigh in hotel & restaurant management–we both longed to be in business for ourselves doing what we thought was our true calling.
While in New York, Dave honed his talents in some of the best NYC restaurants like Smith & Wollensky & the Post House, and worked alongside celebrity chef David Burke and other notables. With the birth of our oldest son he transitioned into commercial equipment sales. Kelleigh developed a career in the entertainment industry working for great brands like Discover Channel and Comedy Central.
The move to Maine was a natural when we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter Ruby. We wanted our children to live closer to one another and appreciate the value of hard work while doing something you love.
Originally from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, respectively, we call Maine our home now and are proud to show off all the wonderful features to our guests.
Dave is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman quick to explore both land and sea to experience the best in wildlife. Kelleigh prefers to take in the view on her bicycle and will drop everything for a chance to take to the open water for a swim. Ask us how to enjoy the area outside your car!
We hope you’ll find our home your perfect respite. Let us show you how to marry the fun of 24-hour shopping at the LLBean flagship with all the outdoor pursuits the area has to offer.
Welcome to Freeport!
