Vermont Bed and Breakfast – Lang House on Main Street

Maple syrup and Artisan cheese, the University of Vermont and Lake Champlain, running, biking, shopping… The Lang House on Main Street, a Vermont Bed & Breakfast, will make you a part of it and give you the locals take on where to go, where to eat and the best shopping.

Located in Burlington, VT

Burlington and the surrounding area are world famous for their annual festival line up. Winter brings you the “Ice Bar”,  an age 21+ experience, Spring in VT introduces Maple Season and a marathon to run in May; Summer cascades the senses with Jazz, Quilts, Hot Air Balloons, Brewers Fests and Classic Cars. Fall brings you a Covered Bridge tour to enhance the dimension of the fall foliage, as well as cheese, book and arts festivals. The Lang House also offers easy access to permanent locations, such as the Shelburne Museum and Farm, and the beautiful city of Burlington, Vermont.

This Vermont Bed & Breakfast is located so conveniently, it is hard to imagine a better fit with the surrounding community: 3 miles from the airport, easy access to the highway, and walking distance to downtown Burlington, particularly the Church Street Marketplace, a pedestrian-only walkway of shops, restaurants and galleries, as well as the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. Yet, despite its central location, The Lang House has onsite parking, truly a 19th Century experience with 21st Century amenities.

The Innkeepers

The home was built in 1881 on land owned by the founder of the University of Vermont. Architecturally in Queen Anne style, the vaulted ceilings, ornate plaster work and stained glass windows recall an elegant phase of home-building in America.  In 2000 it was converted into a Vermont Bed and Breakfast. Host Kim Borsavage and her extended family also have connections to the University of Vermont, and look forward to welcoming you along with the inn dogs, Willoughby and Biba. A bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, flowers and a romantic sunset sail are all at your fingertips with The Lang House package options. For a honeymoon, anniversary retreat, or rooms that are child-friendly, this location is perfect for either a getaway or an academic visit to the University or Medical Center.

Your breakfast of local produce and baked goods, cheese, jams, creative egg dishes and applewood-smoked bacon and ham await you at The Lang House. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with notice. The best of Burlington, Vermont awaits all of your senses.
