Do you want the best deal? Do you want the best experience? Of course you do so this means you need to book direct – but how? Did you know when you make your reservation through an OTA (Online Travel Agency – Expedia, BedandBreakfast (dot) com, Kayak, Trip Advisor are some examples) the property pays a hefty commission – sometimes up to 30%! The property pays the commission and indirectly you do too. In addition you are deprived of direct communication with the innkeeper meaning you miss out on finding out about the best local experiences as well as individual attention, specials, packages and the extras that they offer. So what should you do? It’s simple, book directly on the inn’s official website and sites like BnBFinder connect you with no middle man, and no commissions for anyone!

Getting the Best Rate
Book direct and get the best rate. Even if you find a discounted rate on an OTA site, contact the property directly and not only should they be able to match it – you are now booking direct with access to all of the perks, privileges, and packages that the inn offers!

Benefits of Booking Direct
When you book direct with the property you are in control of your experience and in direct communication with the Innkeeper and your B&B Concierge. Innkeepers know the best local secrets (best places to eat, see and experience), as well as the ability to personalize your stay. This could mean packing a romantic picnic, sharing insider tips and more, but best of all everything is at no extra markup to you!

Don’t Miss the Opportunity
A stay at a bed and breakfast is more than just a place to sleep; it’s a chance to wake up (and experience) something special. Don’t miss the opportunity. Make the most of your time away and get the Best Rate, Best Experience by booking direct!

  1. I have stuck with booking directly with my Inn since I opened in 1985, Thanks for the support. Maureen the innkeeper at T.C. Smith Historic Inn

  2. We have been firmly committed to giving our guests personal service from the moment they first inquire about our B&B. No online booking engine or reservation software can take the place of the friendly voice of the person who owns the place, cooks the breakfast, and irons your sheets! I will be listing very soon with BnBOnline, and promoting it everywhere I can, since has now mandated that all their listings, large and small, must use their online booking platform – and pay their commission. They no longer have an option to have a simple (paid monthly subscription) listing with a photo and link to your own business’s website. After 8 years, they dumped me, and all other small lodgings who do not want to give up the personal service that their businesses were built on and thrive under. I’ve found BnBFinder, and I really like what I see! Diana with the Elliot Rose Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast
