As Anchorage’s oldest operating inn, Camai Bed and Breakfast has had its doors open to guests for over 40 years and knows a thing or two about hospitality. All three guest rooms feature two-room suites to offer guests an ultra spacious and comfortable stay. Each room can comfortably accommodate families and couples as well as business and leisure travelers. All suites feature spacious en-suite bathrooms, WiFi, satellite televisions with DVD players, microwaves, coffeemakers, plush queen-sized beds, and complimentary bath amenities. 

The delicious highlight of your stay

Indulge in a delicious, complimentary, gourmet breakfast upon waking each morning at the inn. Breakfast changes seasonally, with different options in the summer and the winter. The main summer breakfast entrée changes daily and features yummy dishes like peaches n’ cream stuffed French toast, eggs, and cornmeal waffles with maple syrup. Fresh fruit and meat such as turkey or pork sausage, bacon, or reindeer sausage are always served. All breakfasts include organic fair trade coffee, herbal/black teas, milk, and juice. The inn has an espresso machine for guests who enjoy more extravagant coffee drinks, like cappuccinos and espressos.

Although Anchorage offers a variety of attractions and things to do, nature lovers in particular will rejoice at the amount of spectacular sights and outdoor activities offered in the surrounding area. While staying in Anchorage, you can visit a variety of museums and parks, as well as the Alaska Zoo. Rent bikes, hike the trails of Anchorage, and check out the Alaska Botanical Gardens

The drive itself from Anchorage to Turnagain Arm is a scenic 45-minute venture from Anchorage.

Chugach National Forest is the second largest forest in the USA, spanning over 6,000 acres in south central Alaska. It is one of the most accessible day trip options from Anchorage, with the nearest trailhead starting just 20 minutes from downtown Anchorage. There are dozens of trails and varying hikes to be explored throughout the forest depending on how far you feel like driving. 

If you have the time and the desire to experience Alaska’s most iconic wonder, be sure not to miss out on the Kenai Fjords National Park. The best way to experience this park is with a day long cruise. Depending on the season, you may even have the chance to witness the many orcas, humpback whales, and Minke whales that frequent these waters.
