Located right at the end of Ski Time Square Drive, you'll be able to walk anywhere in the base area with ease, including shops & restaurants. Want to head to the grocery store or downtown? No problem. The free city bus picks up in Ski Time Square year round. There is also a private shuttle that will take you to the Gondola Transit Center, anytime between 7:30am and 4:50pm everyday during ski season. So - its the best unit for ski slope access and a good base area location. Storm Meadows Club A 314 by Mountain Vacation Lodging offers an ideal location with a plethora of on site amenities and comfortable, tasteful furnishings.  This location is ski in ski out with direct access to the national forest for summer hiking or biking.  Onsite amenities include a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis court, saunas and locker rooms.  The condo is on the third floor and features a gas fireplace, leather sofa, large HDTV, and a fully equipped kitchen.  Please read on for more details. The Property: The condo is all on one level.  When you enter, you'll find a bench where you can sit down and remove your shoes or ski boots.  There are also coat hooks and built in storage cubbies.  Throughout the condo, you'll find that the ceilings are nice and high, with tongue and groove wood paneling and large exposed beams that have been painted white to brighten up the space.  The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all one large space where even larger groups can gather together in comfort.  On cool summer evenings and during the colder seasons of the year, you'll really love the warmth of the gas fireplace.  The dining table seats 6 and the kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils.  You might even find some spices, oils, or other basics waiting for you in the cabinets.  Bedroom 1 is a good size, easily accommodating a King and matching bedside tables as well as a chest with HDTV.  This first bedroom is a suite, with a private bathroom.  Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin beds and a beautiful barnwood accent wall that reminds you of the rustic western nature of the Steamboat Springs area.   This bedroom also has a reading chair, dresser, and HDTV.  The bathroom for this bedroom is located right across the hall, allowing easy access from the bedroom as well as the living room, a nice feature for groups who have someone using the sleeper sofa.  This condo also has a small outdoor space.  Off the living room, you have a partially covered balcony.  From here (and inside) you can admire views of Buffalo Pass, Fish Creek Canyon, and Pioneer Ridge.     Location: This location is great in any season.  If you're here in spring, summer, or fall, you'll have direct access into the Routt National Forest.  You can go hiking or biking from this condo.  Keep an eye out for wildlife.  This part of Steamboat, near the forest as well as Burgess Creek, is prime habitat for moose and bears.  During ski season, the hike and bike access becomes ski in ski out access.  Just ride down the elevator, grab your skis or boards from the heated indoor ski & snowboard locker room, take 5 steps out the door, pop on your skis or board, and off you go!   A short beginner level ski access trail leads down to the groomed Right O Way ski trail and the ski area base.  Coming home for lunch, for a break, or at the end of your ski day is easy too!  Just head down the Right O Way ski trail and veer right onto the Storm Meadows Ski In Access trail.  The trail and signs will lead you right back to the building!   The ski out is nearly flat, slightly downhill.  The ski in is also nearly flat with some undulations.  Skiers may need to use their poles here and there, while snowboarders may need to take out one foot to push and skate.  If you don't want to ski in, or prefer to finish your ski days with some apres ski drinks and food at the base area, go for it.  The HOA provides a shuttle that loops back and forth to the Gondola Transit Center throughout the ski season, so it is easy to hop on and ride back to the condo.  More info on this shuttle is below. The Amenities: This property also comes with "club" amenities.   Besides the ski locker room, the building also has its own hot tub, which faces southwest for great sunset views.  If you exit the front door of the building, you'll find the clubhouse straight ahead, about 125 yards away.  The clubhouse has an attendant, a small lounge area, and dual locker rooms with restrooms, showers, and saunas.  The clubhouse provides direct access to the heated pool and hot tub area.  Even the pool deck is heated, keeping it free of snow in winter months.  The upper level of the clubhouse has a nice large fitness center and provides access to the tennis court.   Also, in summer, the HOA brings out sunbathing loungers and tables with umbrellas.  These facilities are really nice to have when you're not out exploring the surrounding areas or taking part in the many events and attractions of Steamboat.  Who doesn't want to hop in the pool or a hot tub after day of adventure?   Shuttle Service and Getting Around: In the summer, pretty much everyone will want to have a car with them.  How else would you get to and from all the wilderness areas, parks, rivers, lakes, and national forest trailheads?  In ski season, guests will love this location, and the fact that you probably don't need a car!  That's because in ski season, the development has a free shuttle service.  During the day, it loops back and forth to and from Gondola Square, the heart of the mountain village.  From there, you can easily walk throughout the mountain village, or hop on the free city bus for a ride anywhere in town.  Many of the ranches and attractions or winter activities outside of town, such as snowmobiling or the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, offer a tour option where they'll come pick you up.  So you have lots of options outside of renting or bringing a car.  If you're planning to head out to explore town during ski season, at night,  that's when you might need to make use of one of Steamboat's taxi options.  Fortunately, for guests at this condo, you probably won't need transportation much at all.  Once you have your skis or boards, starting your day is as simple as getting yourself ready and strapping on your skis or board!  Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you.  We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. The Storm Meadows Club complex has a heated pool open in winter and summer, an extra large hot tub, locker rooms with saunas and showers, a full fitness center, and a tennis court with stunning mountain views. If guests don't want to use the ski in/out access, there is a dedicated winter shuttle to take guests to and from the Gondola Transit Center during the day.  From there guests can either quickly walk to Ski Time Square/Gondola Square or they can hop on the free Steamboat Springs Transit to take them most places in Steamboat. The Grand Street Chalet by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a charming home with a prime location that has been nicely updated.  It has 4 large bedrooms, multiple living rooms, and a large yard.  Located in "Old Town" Steamboat Springs, this home is a short, flat walk of just a few blocks from Lincoln Avenue, Steamboat's main street.  Please note, thought this home provides convenient access to downtown and everything the area has to offer, it is located in a quiet residential area.  We seek only mature guests who will be respectful of the home and its neighbors.  Please read on for more details. The Property: This single family home is an older home that has been updated in critical places.  All of the bathrooms were fully renovated in Autumn 2021, and new kitchen appliances will arrive before ski season.  The main level of the home includes 3 living room areas, the kitchen, dining room, a full bathroom, and a foyer.  Of course it also has access to the outdoor spaces, which includes a covered patio with grill, a very large front yard, and a small fenced back yard.  Upstairs you will find all 4 bedrooms, the laundry room, and another bathroom.  The main level of the home has a good flow. The kitchen connects the foyer and game room to the dining room and den.  The game room is open to the main living room.  From the main living room, you can walk past the bathroom and stairs into the den.  There are also 3 different doors providing you with access to the outdoor spaces.  The front yard is quite a good size, and flat.  It's a great place for yard games or building a snowman.  In the main living room, a comfy new leather sofa and armchair with ottoman offer a great place to relax.  The wood burning fireplace and massive 65 inch HDTV will also enhance your enjoyment of this room.  The game room is a large open space that can function however you like.  With lots of floor space, its a great place for kids to play, and would be a perfect place for a Christmas tree.  The game room includes a drop leaf table and an assortment of games to enjoy.  There's also a high top table for 2 and a bench where you can take a seat to put on or take off your ski boots.  The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including lots of storage space in the cabinets.  It has direct access to the covered patio and the gas grill for those who like to BBQ.  It also has a handy pass through to the dining room, making meal service and clean up easy.  The dining room has seating for 6 to 8 with bar seating for 4 more.  The den is and dining room are one larger space, like the main living room and game room.  The den has another leather sofa and armchair surrounding a gas fireplace.  It's a great place to relax with a book, laptop, or your other mobile entertainment devices.  The den also provides direct access to the fenced back yard.   At the top of the stairs is a landing which provides access to all 4 bedrooms and the laundry room.  Bedroom 1 is quite large, with more than enough space for the King sized bed set and a seating or dressing area.  Bedroom 2 is also quite large.  Again it has a King sized bed set with space to spare.  It also includes an HDTV and lots of floor space.  Both of these first two bedrooms would have plenty of space for a crib or pac n play.  Bedroom 3 is another large room ideal for couples.  It features a Queen sized bed and an office area.  The desk can be raised if you prefer to stand and includes a monitor to help make your work more efficient.  Bedroom 4 is last but not least.  In fact it might be as big as bedrooms 1 and 2, just with a different shape.  It has 3 Twin beds plus 1 Double bed, making it ideal for kids or singles.  2 of the Twins are a bunk bed, while the Double bed and the third Twin are a regular beds. Cross the street and walk another 100 yards and you'll be at the edge of the slopes in Steamboat Square.  That's right, you only walk about 200 yards from this condo to the slopes and the center of our resort's base area!  Besides the slopes, the ski school is the first thing you come to.  It is very easy to drop off your kids and head back to the condo or up onto the slopes, as well as to pick them up when you're heading home.  In fact, with a very straightforward walk, only crossing one intersection with a 4 way stop and crosswalks, many kids can head home without assistance.  The Gondolas, the Christie Peak Express lift, and the ticket office are right here too.  So are many restaurants and bars, free concerts, special events, and activities galore.  Remember this, though, If you don't feel like walking, all you have to do is use the free private shuttle that runs all ski season.  They'll take you to and from anywhere in town!   In summer, the base area is even more kid friendly than it is during ski season.  When all the snow melts, Burgess Creek flows through the area, but the water level is controlled to be at a flow level that is ideal for kids to splash around.  There are even a couple of "beaches" along the creek.  There are also tons of activities, many restaurants and bars, as well as a large stage.  This area plays host to movie nights, free concerts, art shows, hot air balloon glows, and more.   Don't forget, the ski area sits on national forest.  So your condo is literally right next to a national forest trailhead.  You can hike or bike from your door!  You can also ride up the Gondola for food, beverages, amazing views, sunsets, or to hike and bike around to the highest parts of the ski area with a 2000 vertical foot head start!  This area is also connected to other trails too.  The Mountain Sneak trail, Mt. With 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room, this condo is ideal for families or groups of 4 to 6 people.  The living area is all one big space, so whether you're in the kitchen, dining area, or living room, you can enjoy the company of the other members of your group.  The kitchen is fully equipped, you'll have the option to save money by preparing meals at home instead than eating out all the time.  Get the day started right with a full breakfast, or make sandwiches for a picnic lunch on the ski area!  The beautiful, high quality dining table seats 6 and is round, making it ideal for cards, games, or reminiscing about your day's adventures.  The living room furniture is comfy and nicely spaced to take advantage of the fireplace and large HDTV.  There's also a patio off the living room, a nice spot for summer guests to relax with a cup of coffee.  The master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a private, en suite bathroom.  This master bedroom also has an HDTV, dresser, and small closet for storing your luggage and clothes.  The second bedroom is set up with 1 Trundle Bunk Bed so a total of 3 Twin beds, making it nicely suited to siblings or singles.  Like the master, it also has an HDTV, dresser and closet.  The second full bathroom is off the main living space, which really helps if you have a larger group and will be using the sleeper sofa.  Some additional features you'll enjoy include a selection of board games, a DVD player, stereo, and of course, free WiFi.   At this development, there are some great amenities to take advantage of.  In ski season, this includes a complimentary private shuttle service to get you to and from the Gondola from 7:30 am to 5 pm.  Of course you can easily walk to and from the Gondola, but this service might be nice for some groups.  The year round free city bus picks up and drops off only about 150 meters from the building.The private shuttle in winter will pick you up right outside your door, and  take you directly to the Gondola Transit Center.  You don't need a car here in ski season!  The free city bus can take you anywhere in town, including the grocery stores, downtown, to the ice rink, or the Old Town Hot Springs.  If you're headed out of town for some snowmobiling, to a ranch for a sunset or sleigh ride dinner, or to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, there are separate shuttles for those activities too.   The pool and hot tub area are right outside the building, and also right next to Burgess Creek.  With mature landscaping and the creek, this is a very relaxing place to hang out.  The pool is heated, so it and the hot tub are both open in winter and summer seasons.  Seasonal closures for cleaning and maintenance tend to occur in spring and fall, so if you're visiting during these times, check with us on the status.  There is also a very large fitness center for your use.  It has an HDTV, lots of machines, and free weights too, so if you're not a skier, hiker, etc, you'll still be able to get in a workout, do some physical therapy, or have plenty of space for yoga.  The building also has a picnic area next to the pool, with a charcoal grill for summer season guests to use, and ski lockers for winter season guests.     Let's not forget to discuss the location.  The building is very close to Gondola Square, which is the center of Steamboat's mountain village, and a hub of activity.  Within 100 to 150 meters of this building, you will find groceries, spirits, ski & snowboard rentals, multiple dining options, even a Bavarian style beer hall.  Gondola Square itself is only about 250 yards from the condo, a short, easy, and flat walk that even young kids will be able to handle.  Gondola Square is where you will find the ski school, ticket office, shops, restaurants, and so much more.  This area is host to lots of free concerts and other special events, such as weekly fireworks displays in ski season, the Cowboy Downhill, the Cardboard Classic, Splashdown Pond Skim, the list goes on.  The heated promenade around the base area allows for easy walking and strolling year round, and night skiing really livens up the base area at night.  Ski season guests will love the proximity to the slopes and lifts, but summer guests will love it just as much or more.  Ski trails turn into hiking and biking trails.  The ski area base transforms into a kid friendly zone full of activities, including mini golf, rock climbing, bungee trampolines, a bouncy house, adventure courses, tubing and of course, The Outlaw mountain coaster.  The snow melting high above on the ski area flows right through the base area in Burgess Creek.  The flow is controlled and kept to a low volume that attracts kids to splash and play in safety.  There are even a couple of beach areas to enjoy.  So as you can see, this condo's location gives you direct access to a plethora of entertainment, activity, and dining that you'll surely enjoy.  But Gondola Square is not the only reason this location is so great.  As you can see in the photos, Burgess Creek also flows right past this building, and the Burgess Creek Trail, a paved path ideal for walking, strolling, jogging or biking, connects to the Mount Werner Trail and the Yampa River Core Trail.  This gives you "right out the door" direct access to the Yampa River and Downtown Steamboat, which is less than 4 miles away.  The creek also provides a very appealing ambiance for when you are taking advantage of the development's pool, hot tub, or picnic area. This Storm Meadows at Christie Base unit brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a step up from the rest.  The condo faces the ski mountain so guests can watch as skiers come down the runs or once the mountain closes, they can take in the serenity of the silent slopes.  The owners have upgraded the space so that is contemporary yet cozy.  Guests will find new luxury vinyl flooring that replaced the old worn carpeting still found in many of the Storm Meadows units. A California King in the bedroom will assure that anyone staying in this unit has enough space and gets a good nights sleep. The kitchen is stocked with everything a guest might need to prepare a great meal, either dinner by crockpot or something more elaborate on the flattop electric stove. There are games and flatscreen tv's to help guests unwind after a day skiing or to just enjoy a lazy rest day hanging out around the condo.  The Property: When entering the condo, you'll find an open floor plan and no stairs in the home. The kitchen is directly to your right, living room straight ahead and a coat closet to your left.  A small bench is available so it's easy to take off and on one's shoes without performing an elaborate balancing act.  A well stocked kitchen is important for any short term rental, this home is no exception. There's the standard fridge, stove, oven, microwave and also a crockpot, blender, stainless steel drip coffee maker, toaster, etc. Our housekeepers leave basic spices in the cupboards so you shouldn't have to worry about bringing your own salt and pepper.  In terms of dining, we have both an island in the kitchen with two bar stools and a dining table with expansion leaves which can seat 4 people.  In the living room there is a very comfortable Queen sized sleeper sofa.  The bedroom has a California King, a stand alone A/C unit, an HDTV and it's own entrance to the bathroom.  The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Location: Storm Meadows at Christie Base has a great location year round. It's only a few hundred yards from Ski Time Square, an area bustling with activity in both winter and summer. In the summer guests can hike or bike directly from the unit onto miles of Routt National Forest trails. In the winter the access is equally great with this ski in/out location.
