PERMANENT year round position for Resident Assistant Manager Innkeepers in Colorado near Wolf Creek Ski Area. We seek two people (a couple) that will work all aspects of the business. This is an assistant manager position at a small, but extremely busy, family run rustic lodging property. You will be living on site, considered essential personnel and will work in all areas of the property including, but not limited to, housekeeping, laundry, guest services, front desk, reservations and maintenance issues. The business is open 365 days a year from 8 am to 9 pm. If there is an after-hours emergency you will be responsible for reporting to the general manager to resolve it. PRIOR HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE preferred. This position requires strong communication and computer skills (our reservation system is online). Marketing experience is a plus. Starting compensation is $30,000 year (per couple) with on site housing and utilities provided. Housing includes cable TV, wifi, local telephone, utilities, use of snowshoes and kayak when not in use. As Assistant Managers, you report to our General Manager and are required to be flexible with your schedule. This is a hospitality position and during a good part of the year you will be required to work every day according to guest traffic. We will do our best to schedule time off in slower periods. When you have time off it may not be together. You should expect the unexpected in scheduling due to unpredictable guest traffic including split shifts and changes in your schedule week to week and perhaps day to day. After a training period, the position will require that, on certain days/ nights of the week, you as a couple will work self-directed. The amount of hours of work will be different per day and season. In the high season though, from Memorial Day till October 31, you are expected to work long days. You will have days per week off to enjoy the activities and surroundings of Ouray.
