Bed & Breakfast news for Innkeepers and B&B travelers
Wednesday, November 28, 2012

If you follow the scent of freshly baked cookies and come upon a sugar-coated trail that leads you to a festively-dressed historic home, you may have discovered an inn-to-inn holiday tour. Here’s how it works: you begin your merry journey at one inn, reveling in halls decorated with pine-scented wreaths and twinkling lights and indulging in cookies mixed with candy and wine paired with gourmet meals, before stopping at the next one. You can even get some decorating inspiration from some of the innkeepers’ original creations.

The sun-kissed rolling hills and sprawling vineyards come alive with festive cheer during the B&B Holiday Tour & Taste Event on December 1 in Napa, CA. Innkeepers are offering world-class varietals from local wineries alongside gourmet dishes provided by some of the top chefs in town. Inns participating in the tour include Arbor Guest House, Beazley House, Churchill Manor, Hennessey House, Inn on Randolph and Napa Old World Inn Bed and Breakfast.

In Hendersonville, NC, turn-of-the-century architecture will be on full display beside joyous decorations on the Holiday Tour of Historic Inns & Cookie Caper on December 9. During this self-guided tour, innkeepers will treat you to delicious cookies and candies as you bask in the warm glow of the holiday spirit. Inns participating in the tour include Aunt Adeline’s, Claddagh Inn, 1898 Waverly Inn and Elizabeth Leigh Inn.

How does a getaway to a quaint, country inn tucked away in New Hampshire’s spectacular White Mountains sound? If you travel to the region on the weekend of December 8 – 9 you can take part in the 16th Annual Inn to Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour. Along with tasting some of the innkeepers’ signature cookies and candies, you’ll get to take home recipe cards and a collector’s keepsake brass ornament. Don’t forget to enter the drawing for a $250 gift certificate towards a future stay at one of the inns on the tour which include Darby Field Inn, Riverbend Inn, Inn at Crystal Lake, Covered Bridge House, Inn at Ellis River, Eastman Inn and Old Red Inn & Cottages.
