Come enjoy our 50 acre vacation getaway in Madison, Wisconsin at the Speckled Hen Inn Bed & Breakfast. Speckled Hen Inn's woodlands, meadows and marshes are bordered by an additional 2,000 acres of green space. Abundant wildlife and our own llamas and sheep will delight you. An easy 7.5 miles separates the Inn and downtown Madison, Wisconsin, the Capitol Square, State Street, and The University of Wisconsin campus.
Five beautiful and distinctly unique guest rooms assure that you can select a room that is "just right". All rooms have private baths and most have king-sized beds and whirlpool tubs. Two large lounge areas, a home theater, a sunny breakfast room, a candle-lit dining room, an enclosed gazebo, porches and balconies give you plenty of space to relax in comfort and privacy. Guests rave about our multi-course breakfasts that feature Wisconsin cheese and produce, home baked breads and sweets, and coffee made from freshly ground, locally roasted beans. |

Breakfast is served in the sunny breakfast room or in the candle-lit dining room at the time you prefer. If the weather permits, breakfast trays may be taken to the porches or balconies. By special arrangement and for a small additional charge, breakfast will be served in the romantic gazebo. Every effort will be made to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies that you bring to our attention.

Check In Policy: |
Check-in begins at 4:00PM. Early check-ins by prior arrangement only. Please notify the innkeeper if you will need to check in after 10:00PM. |
Check Out Policy: |
Check-out time is prior to noon on the day of departure. Baggage and bicycle storage are available for those wishing to spend additional time in the area but the guest rooms will not be available. |
Cancellation Policy: |
Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours in advance of 4:00PM on check-in day without penalty. Cancellations within the 48 hour period prior to check-in will be charged a minimum of 1 nights lodging rate or 50% of a longer stay unless we are able to rebook the room. No-shows will be billed for the full amount of their reserved stay. |

Children over the age of 12 are welcomed when accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 12 are permitted when all the rooms in the inn are booked by a family group. |

A deposit equal to one night's room charge OR 50% of a longer stay may be required. A valid credit card number or a check will serve as your deposit. |
Pets Welcome |
Pets are allowed in The Madison Lakes room only. The room has a private entrance and easy access to our outdoor areas. Please mention that you will be bringing a pet when making your reservation. |

Happy, our Goldendoodle loves to greet guests and is available to walk you around the property. He will introduce you to the porch cats, the llamas, sheep, and the speckled hens. |
