Nestled in the beautiful lower Shenandoah Valley in West Virginia along the Potomac, Thomas Shepherd Inn Bed & Breakfast is a place where life slows down long enough for you to enjoy it. Wonderful restaurants and unique shops are within a few blocks in our historically preserved small town, as is Shepherd College. The Inn is also only minutes from Civil War landmarks such as Antietam Battlefield and Harpers Ferry. Shepherdstown offers a wealth of options whether you are in search of adventure or relaxation.
Stroll around town to visit our quaint shops and varied restaurants or hit the nearby outlet mall. Hike or bike the C&O Canal Path or the Appalachian Trail or take advantage of the waters of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Lounge on the back porch, in the garden or in front of the living fireplace with a book or magazine from our collection. Our spacious living room, guest lounge and back porch make for a great group getaway.
We look forward to your visit! |

This was my first time staying at a B & B, it was wonderful, from the friendiness of the innkeepers to the delicious breakfasts. Would love to go there again.

The B&B was wonderful. The innkeepers were very friendly and their breakfast was so tasty. The room we stayed in was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The B&B is very close to downtown, and it's within a short drive to historical locations, as well as outdoor fun (kayaking, fishing). Would highly recommend this B&B.

The house was very well located on the main street in Shepherdstown,WV. Easy walk down the street to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean, cozy and big. There was a library with a refrigerater and a large porch on the second floor off the library. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were very helpful, pleasant and accomodating. It is just about 10 miles to Harper's Ferry where you'll find history, shops and restaurants, kayaking, tubing, hiking paths in the mountains or along the river and civil war reenactments. Only a couple of miles from the house to Antetiem where there is another historical battlefield (3 hour driving tour. This was a great weekend getaway.
