9 Cranes Inn welcomes vacationers, business travelers, and visiting family and friends to Phinney Ridge, a north Seattle neighborhood offering walkability and accessibility to the city's places of interest. We're two blocks from the Woodland Park Zoo, in a quiet neighborhood near restaurants, shops, and nature. Very close by are the neighborhoods of Ballard, Greenwood, Fremont, Wallingford, and Green Lake.
We offer accommodations Seattle-style: historic, eclectic, and a little fun. Our Craftsman home was built in 1916; it boasts rich wood features and an inviting fireplace. Our guest rooms, spanning three floors of the house, offer modern amenities such as free wireless Internet access, flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds, and quality bath products. In addition to the main living room, guests may enjoy a second-floor lounge containing a computer, refrigerator with complimentary soft drinks, and lending library.
All rooms have private baths and their own distinct personalities. The top-floor Ballard View room is its own private retreat, with rooftop deck facing the Olympic Mountains, giant jetted tub, and king-sized bed. The second-floor Fremont room is stylish and spacious, with queen bed and black/white/red theme. Woodland Park on the first floor is our value room - with its queen-sized bed it contains everything you need without climbing the stairs!
As innkeepers, we want you to enjoy your Seattle stay as YOU want to enjoy it. We're happy to make recommendations for dining and playing if you like, or we'll leave you to your own devices if that's your preference. Either way, 9 Cranes Inn would love to serve as your urban base camp during your visit to Seattle.

Terrific place. The house was recently redone and the rooms (we stayed in two different rooms during our stay) were well appointed, comfortable, and architectually interesting. One room has a private outdoor deck with great views of the Olympic mountains. Shelley was especially helpful and friendly and she accomodated my special dietary needs with the best B&B food I ever had; actually the best breakfasts I've had anywhere! We could not have been more pleased and we can't wait to go back. THis place is a gem.

9 Cranes Inn is a delight in every way. The house is beautiful and the hospitality is, too. The guest rooms are large, comfortable and very nicely furnished, with great mountain views when the weather cooperates. Breakfast is first rate. Can't say enough good things about 9 Cranes Inn and can't wait for my next trip to Seattle.

We were very happy with all aspects of our stay at 9 Cranes Inn. The accommodations were outstanding. Our hostess Shelley was very pleasant and helpful and her breakfasts were tasty and healthful. We would certainly recommend staying at 9 Cranes Inn located in a very nice neighborhood when visiting Seattle.

9 Cranes Inn is truly an outstanding B & B. The linens and bed was soft and comfortable, the place was very clean and the decor was beautiful in every room. A hair dryer, ironing board and iron are available plus a nice bath tub mat to prevent slipping while you're in the shower. We looked forward every morning to Shelley's wonderful breakfast treats. There was variety, they were delicious and never boring. The inn's location is convenient to central Seattle.

We loved the 9 Cranes B & B! Shelly made us feel at home immediately. We stayed on the second floor with the bath across the hall, but very private, which we loved as it made the bedroom very quiet. Shelly accommodated our request for a Gluten-Free diet, which was really appreciated! We would love to stay there again sometime. Everything was very high quality and very well appointed for guests comfort. We recommend this Inn very highly!

We spent two wonderful nights in this lovely B & B. The bedding and bathroom were like the ones you find in an upscale hotel. Enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the view from our private balcony. Shelley, the innkeeper has thought of every detail to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one! We have stayed in many bed & breakfasts and this is one we would love to come back to again! This was not our first B&B experience. Maybe we have just been lucky, because all our B&B stays have been very enjoyable. However, Shelley at 9 Cranes, is by far the best. I gave fives in all catagories. If possible they would have been tens.

Great Location in wonderful walking friendly Phinney Ridge area of Seattle. Beautiful older craftsman bungalow with updated amenities. Easy access to Ballard, Greenlake, Woodland Park and Downtown Seattle. The innkeeper Shelley was an accomodating hostess and the breakfast were very tasty!
We felt like we were staying in a private home. Very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again. The two little dogs Terrance and Phillip were so cute and friendly, just wanted to take them home with me!
