You are in Lewis and Clark territory at Boreas. Visit dramatic lighthouses, museums, go antique shopping, fly a kite on the beach or just spend private time together in the cedar-enclosed hot tub near the ocean dunes. Boreas is only a short walk to Long Beach’s shops, galleries and restaurants and Susie and Bill are happy to help plan dining, sightseeing, and shopping expeditions. Boreas sits on the site where, on November 19, 1805, Clark and the Corp of Discovery walked!

As you walk up the front walkway, you will feel the magic of this perennial garden and the intimacy that is Boreas. (Boreas means the Greed god of the North Wind) Private, with spots of accented color of seasonal flowers planted with care by Susie. the rock gardens by the guest rooms and the dunes are such a display of artistry and the deep caring that goes into Susie and Bill's work at Boreas.

Dining Area
Boreas multi-course morning feasts are a culinary treat. Awarded "Best Northwest Breakfast, 2006 by Arrington's Book of Lists. Imaginative and delicious food is a priority at the Inn. Susie's fresh pastries and fruit entrees are a refreshing way to start your morning along with Bill’s fritattas and omelets which highlight our area's chantrelle, lobster, oyster and porcini mushrooms and local smoked salmon and sturgeon. Endless homemade brownies anytime!

Boreas breakfasts are a joyful time. Served at 9:30 in the morning, your three-course brunch will be beautiful to behold and bettter to consume! Fresh pastries, amazing fruit entrees, and the main event are well worth waiting for and will tide you over until dinner. Susie and Bill will make dinner arrangements for you at their favorite spots!

Living Area
A marble fireplace dominates the Inn's two large living rooms, which face the dunes and beach. A baby grand sits by one of the huge picture-view windows. Just outside, guests can sit in the gardens or wander Boreas' lovely, private path, that within minutes, winds you through the dunes to the Pacific Ocean where it intersects a most unique two-mile long, paved Dunes Trail.

The Dunes Suite
The Dunes Suite is a beautiful room with amenities galore, a therapeutic jetted bathtub, soothing colors, king-sized bed with sumptuous linens, French doors opening to a deck and the flower gardens. All Boreas' rooms have been the site of many a special occasion; the Dunes Suite is a favorite romantic spot. Airy and full of light; you could stay forever...
