Biking in Washington
As outdoor enthusiasts, we love to get guests out exploring the Icicle Valley and all it's magical beauty; whether its a jaunt down a country road on the bikes, a hike high up into the Alpine Lakes, or a nice run along a wildflower-speckled trail. Specialized mountain bikes and a Cannondale tandem are available for complimentary use, and we will willingly share secret "locals-only-know" spots with you!

Your Private Deck
Each of our suites here at Run of the River feature a private deck overlooking 100 acres of wildlife refuge, sweeping views of the surrounding Cascade Mountains, and Icicle Creek. The perfect spot for a steaming morning coffee or an evening moment with your sweetie. Guests regularly spot all kinds of NW birds, deer and the occasional bear. Kick back on your log swing with a good book and a nice glass of wine, or reach for your in-suite binoculars, birding and wildlife guides and see what you can find on the refuge. Don't forget your camera!

Breakfast at the Inn
Breakfast is an extra special time at Run of the River Inn and Refuge. Served family-style in the common area, breakfast provides a hearty, healthy start to a fun-filled day in the Icicle Valley, and the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of the other guests at the Inn. We offer lots of fresh, local produce, locally roasted coffee, locally baked breads, and can easily cater to special dietary needs and preferences. One thing is for sure - you probably won't be needing lunch after a breakfast at Run of the River!

Hiking and Running the Trails in the Icicle Valley
Pick up the hiking sticks and a pack or a picnic basket from your deck and head out for the trails! We provide Northwest Forest Passes, Washington State Green Trails Maps, and guides written by the Innkeepers on local biking, hiking, and scenic drives.

Private entrance and a expansive wrap-around deck. Views right up the river to the Enchantments from the log king bed or Jacuzzi. Fireplace and spacious bath. $225 per night

Up The Creek Suite
Breathtaking views of Icicle Ridge, Tumwater Mountain and the river. Jacuzzi, fireplace, spacious bath, and a cozy loft. $220 per night
