Run of the River Inn and Refuge, a Leavenworth, WA bed and breakfast, rests on a high water channel of the Icicle River. We are a luxury B&B surrounded on two sides by Washington Department of Wildlife bird refuge, home to deer, coyote, and the occasional bear and elk. It’s a birder's paradise where guest regularly spy great blue heron, osprey, owls, kingfishers, geese and a variety of ducks. 4-Star inn in the entire Northwest by Northwest Best Places and chosen two years consecutively as the Northwest’s Favorite Bed and Breakfast by Seattle Magazine.

Every detail was covered. The inn-keepers (Monte & Karen) were so sincere & welcoming. The rooms were immaculate and the view was breathtaking. This is a great place to go when you don't want to be a "mainstream, run of the mill tourist". It is easy to see why this place earned it's 5 star rating in the the "Best Places to Kiss in the Great Northwest."

Wonderful, peaceful location looking out on the mountains of Leavenworth. The inn is cozy and warm and the food delicious. Breakfast was only meal offered, but was plentful. The owners were in Europe at the time of our stay, but their assistants were very friendly and helpful. Would high recommend to anyone looking for a special experience. Close to the town of Leavenworth, that's a replica of a German town when you can find wonderful traditional German food.
