Situated in Virginia Hunt Country just an hour from the DC beltway, L'Auberge Provencale Bed & Breakfast captures the spirit of Provence right here in White Post, Virginia. Our award-winning cuisine and wine list are the heart of our charming Shenandoah Valley B&B. Dine evenings in the main house and then retire to one of our guest rooms or suites to repose in country quiet. Our "breakfast of dreams” is served each morning in the sunny peach dining room. Come and discover why we have been featured in Bon Appétit, Food and Wine, Washingtonian, and Washington Post, and why we have received top Zagat ratings for food, service, and decor.

During your stay at our lovely Virginia Wine Country bed and breakfast, travel the back roads of beautiful Clarke County, nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, and framed by the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy antiquing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing, or ballooning, or simply wile away the day on our spacious porch with a glass of wine, enjoying simple pleasures: a respite from the otherwise hectic world.

Dine evenings in our farm-to-table restaurant La Table Provencale, where Executive Chef Scott Myers and his team of chefs create a menu with the freshest seasonal ingredients. The restaurant also features our Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list featuring wines from around the world and from our own backyard - the Virginia wine country. Enjoy genteel service with a smile - a touch of country with a touch of class.

Our enchanting Shenandoah Valley bed and breakfast will beckon you to explore the growth of spring, the deep shade of summer, the brilliance of fall, and the solitude of winter. If you can't spend a "year in Provence," get away to our delightful Shenandoah bed & breakfast to renew your spirit. Villa La Campagnette, our sister bed and breakfast just 3 miles away, offers suites on a tree-filled 18-acre property replete with swimming pool and beautiful gardens. It is a unique compliment to our splendid Virginia B&B, and is perfect for those looking for a private setting and romantic accommodations.

I look forward to sunset on the porch at L'Auberge Provencale for many reasons. The porch is wide and deep. Although it looks East, sunsets tend to cast a warm glow over that Eastern view, enhancing the pastoral setting, replete with wide open fields, cows, and sheep. To drink a glass or two of very fine wine in this environment--and L'Auberge has an excellent wine list--on top of all that? It is all one could ask of life.

Friendly and welcoming in the Southern style and elegant service with anticpation paid to the attention paid to every detail that makes a stay at L'Auberge Provencale exceptional. The dinner was the best we've had since dining in France. With the mid-winter special we took advantage of, the value was exceptional. The inn staff was great, from the welcome and check-in to the breakfast and getting helpful information about the local area. We would highly recommend this inn.
