Our 1850’s farmhouse in a quiet corner of the historic village of Washington, Virginia, will welcome you to a relaxing stay in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are walking distance from the renowned restaurant of The Inn at Little Washington, and minutes from Shenandoah National Park, award-winning wineries, horseback riding and antique stores.

All guests are welcome to make use of the inn’s amenities, including the library with fireplace, sunroom with tables for reading or game-playing, front porch with its views of the mountains, and our gardens. Everyone’s day begins with a home-cooked breakfast served in the sun room. The restored 1850s farmhouse features five individually decorated guest rooms, each with its own character (and each with private bath and individually controlled heat and air). Choose the one that best suits you!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the inn. Kevin and Jay are just wonderful host. I felt like I visiting my Grandmother's house......so cozy! We were in town for dinner at The Inn at Little Washington for my retirement celebration. The restaurant is only a 5 minute walk away. A wonderful dining experience was topped off by a glass of port and chocolates and a fire waiting for us when we arrived back to The Gay Street Inn. I didn't realize how good being totally unplugged felt!! Total relaxation! Our bedroom was large and inviting. Jay fixed a wonderful breakfast. Before we left Kevin took us on a tour to see his art studio. He is a fabulous artist. This retired teacher is going to give our stay an A+ !!!!

Delightful Inn. The only disappointment was that our hosts were not available when we arrived, a housekeeper was there. Although we did not meet our hosts until the following morning, they were very warm and welcoming and made a delicious breakfast.

Perfect quaint weekend get-away. Used it primarily as a place to stay while indulging at dinner at the Inn At Little Washington - my wife and I ended up enjoying our experience at Gay Street Inn as much as we did the dinner. Would absolutely go back and recommend to friends.

Kevin and Jay are the best hosts I have ever experienced at a B&B. The B&B itself was clean, tidy, beautifully decorated, warm, and comfortable. My wife and I were traveling with friends to celebrate our 25th and 20th wedding anniversaries and couldn't have asked for a better time. We all loved it!!!!!!!

Inn was very nice. Room was large and well appointed. Lovely yard and garden in the back. Relaxing front porch. Street is very quiet. Very relaxing stay. Would highly recommend.
