Set on twenty-eight wooded acres at 2800 feet Virginia's Mountain Inn is a place of peace and solitude. Just outside Sugar Tree's door you can walk our nature trails or contemplate our rushing creek. Five minutes away the magnificent Blue Ridge Parkway stretches lazily along the mountain peaks. There are miles of vistas and great hiking, including the Appalachian Trail. You’ll enjoy flowing rivers, canoeing and tubing, while bridle paths entice riders. Don't miss our wineries and the local delicacies that make this a special corner of Virginia.
Relax from the moment you arrive. Pick a rocker, or soak in our hot tub and enjoy the 40 mile view while the quiet soothes away your workday stress. Follow a hummingbird from the porch feeders to the dogwoods below. As evening falls, enjoy a spectacular sunset and then marvel at the stars as night encompasses the mountains.

Morning begins in our glass-walled dining room looking out through the wildflowers and watching the wildlife. Our full country breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 AM and includes Becky's Baked Oatmeal, fresh fruits and muffins, breakfast meats, eggs and more! You won't leave hungry!

This is my favorite inn/B&B of all time. The atmosphere was exactly what I most enjoy in a inn--it was rustic and charming. The themed rooms were very fun; I loved our James Herriot room, as I have been a huge fan of his books since I was a child. The food was also beyond compare. We had a picnic dinner brought up to our room and it was delicious! The key lime pie was to die for. The setting of this inn is also great if you want to feel like you have gotten away from it all. You feel as though you are in the middle of the woods. The Sugar Tree Inn is not to be missed!
