The Lafayette Inn is an historic landmark designed in Federalist style with three levels and sweeping colonnaded porches. The frame is of hand-hewn mortise and tenon beams with fifteen-inch-thick walls of local red brick. Large windows peer out to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Piedmont countryside.
Large windows enhance the natural light and scenes of the town and surrounding countryside in all of the Inns rooms. Every room is accomodated with antiques; most have their own fireplaces, and some with two! Upgraded linens, oversized towels, and locally produced soaps and shampoos are found in each room. Some rooms have cable television, wireless internet, while others intentionally remain without them. Either way, relax and prepare yourselves for a quality, memorable experience. We offer two deluxe rooms, two suites, one Penthouse double suite and also Dicey's Cottage.

Romantic dining for two (or your intimate friends) often held in a private setting, intimate regardless, lit by candlelight, with one seating per night. The Chef assures a wonderful and carefully selected culinary experience, from the first appetizer, through the final wine selection, wine flights included! It’s romantic dining for two, ideal for proposals, anniversaries and special events.

Each includes a flight of wine (each chooses either white or red).
Sample many appetizers, entrées and desserts. Typically 8-12 courses!
Only one seating per night, for one couple. Many weekend nights maintain a waiting list.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than fifteen (15) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund may be made less a $25 processing fee. |
