We get asked if houped skirts will still fit through the doors. They do, the doors haven't changed on this c.1859 Plantation Manor House that has been placed on the national Registry of Historic Places.

We serve our guests the finest Virginia Wines, gourmet cheeses and other appetizers and snacks every day - 5:30 Pm to 7:30 PM. The Mayhurst Library, Patio or Verandah provide the perfect settings and offer our guests the opportunity to meet each other and discuss their experiences during the day and at the areas many fine restaurants.

Mayhurst is surrounded by Gardens. Over 2000 bulbs, amoung many other plants and flowering trees, will surround you. The summer kitchen was the original plantation manor house, c.1820, until John Willis had the Mayhurst Manor house built.

A full three course breakfast is served daily - consisting of fresh pastries, scones, muffins or coffee cakes, a fruit course, a main course, jucies, gourmet coffee and a wide variety of teas. Pictured is a guest favorite: Blueberry Muffins, Baked Apple and Eggs Benedict with Rosemary Potatoes. We also accommodate virtually any special dietary needs.
