Tiger Lily
This ground floor room is decorated with the vibrant colors and mystery of India; it houses the majority of our elephant collection, most with their trunks pointing upwards for good luck. Rattan and wicker furniture help set the tropical mood. This deluxe room decorated in English Raj has a king-size bed and a whirlpool tub with shower. Flat Screen TV with satellite, XM radio and free movies.

Schloss
A Baroque jewel box with an imperial double bed, large two-person shower. Enjoys direct access to side porch on the sunrise side of the house.

Kensington
The view from the front of the house is the most dramatic; honeymooners always choose the Kensington so that they may luxuriate in the Jacuzzi with a glass of champagne while watching the spectacular sunset. Rich, jewel tones set the English country mood with dark woods soothing fabrics. Flat screen TV with satellite, DVD player, XM radio and free movies.

Le Jardin
With a wonderful view of our Wedding Peristyle and Wintergreen Mountain, Le Jardin is the perfect setting to get in touch with your verdant nature. This room features a large sitting area with a handcrafted headboard trellis that grows on you and hand stenciling that puts beautiful garden flowers close at hand to assure sweet dreams. It comes equipped with two twin beds (which can be converted to a very comfortable king-size bed), a sofa bed, and an antique clawfooted tub with shower. Flat screen TV with satellite, XM Radio and free movies.

Abiner Smoothie
Named for "The Last Elegant Bear", a relatively new classic in children's literature. The innkeeper portrayed Abiner in Manhattan, while working for the book's publisher. This room has cheery yellow walls with navy and white trim; staying here is like going home to the room that we may have outgrown, but still provides the nurturing security that is so reassuring. It comes with an extra-long double bed and a large two-person shower.

Mimosa
In the late 19th Century when this home was expanded, our ancestors were fascinated by the exotic East. This oriental paradise is decorated with one of the first handpainted screens (older than the house itself) to come out of the trade normalization with China in the early 1970s, as well as various other paintings and carvings brought back from China, where the innkeeper's father was born. It comes with an extra-long double bed and an antique clawfooted tub with shower.

The Colonel
This room was named to honor the various Army heroes, many with West Point backgrounds.Considerable military memorabilia are placed throughout the room. Two recliners help the war weary to relax, as does the access to the balcony. Also, this room is furnished with a queen-sized brass bed, a unique Murphy bed (can be used for a third person), a sitting area, and a whirlpool tub with shower. Flat screen TV with satellite, XM radio and free movies.

Mary Virginia
Named for John's great great grandmother, Mary Virginia Peale (of the Philadelphia Peales, as in Charles Wilson Peale), this room is the most Victorian in decor of any of the rooms here. The Mary Virginia includes access to a large balcony with magnificent views. The Victorian charm is enhanced by a Jenny Lind spool bed, a carved ebonywood Belgian hall settee, a sitting area, and a large two-person shower.

Elena
This large, deluxe suite is adorned in French Provincial styles. It features a separate sitting room alcove as well as breathtaking views from a magnificent balcony. The alcove is furnished with a day bed overflowing with pillows, which creates a perfect spot for reading or a private place for a third person to sleep. Includes an antique king-sized bed and a shower. Flat screen TV with satellite, XM radio and free movies.

Sundance
This handicap accessible room on the ground floor has a queen size bed and flat screen TV with DVD player. Decorated in a Native American motif with original antiques, photos and reading material.
