When we first started looking for a place to exchange our marriage vows, we came across The South Court Inn, Bed and Breakfast. We didn’t want that “commercial” feeling, but still wanted a professional and yet “special” feeling as far as our wedding ceremony. We were treated with so much kindness, care and warmth with every question and detail answered and provided for. Not only for us as the Bride and Groom but for our wedding party of family and friends, as quests. So full of wonderful memories for all of us.
As guest staying at The South Court Inn, it was the most wonderful experience. We were made to feel so comfortable and very well taken care of. Right at home and but better. Also, there is so much history there. The Innkeeper will gladly share all of it with you. We were told of so many things. Stories and information about the first and other previous owners. About the Inn, the Cottage, all the wonderful antiques that just fill the Inn, right down to the actual Victorian silverware we ate with.
It is a beautiful place, owned and operated by a beautiful couple. Thank you Tom and Anita Potts for making our special day so very “Special” and for a wonderful place to stay. We look forward to our next visit as soon as possible. Certainly as a get away and our anniversaries for years to come.

We feel so rested and pampered after our stay at South Court Inn.
From the moment we walked through the front door, we were amazed at how beautiful everything was. From the extensive moldings throughout the house to the luxurious draperies created by Anita herself…everything was “brilliant”!
Tom and Anita took such good care of us every morning with a creative and plentiful breakfast. After breakfast, we enjoyed the welcoming bath for two in our room before starting our day. During our 4-day stay, we enjoyed many of the local attractions including Skyline Drive, a couple wineries and antique’ing. Our late afternoons were spent reading in the shade of their large front porch overlooking their beautifully landscaped front yard and the view of the mountains. While South Court Inn also has a bountiful supply of books and DVD’s to borrow, we found ourselves so relaxed that we often went to bed early and skipped the movie.
We were positively spoiled during our visit and definitely plan to return for another visit one day soon. I can’t believe how rested I look and feel….it was just what we needed!

I attended a friend’s wedding here and found this to be quite intimate and personal. The cottage makes a wonderful honeymoon suite. I would highly recommend weddings here with Tom.
The house and cottage were elegant and a refuge from the storms outside and the hectic bustle of everyday life. The food was excellent and they were able to meet our group’s special dietary needs.
I wish that I could have stayed longer and enjoyed Tom and Anita’s hospitality for a bit longer. I would like to go back and explore the Shenandoah National Park while the leaves change color or the nearby caves.
