Brierley Hill is an exquisite Virginia bed & breakfast with magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley. The inn is located on eight acres of country quiet, yet only five minutes from the heart of historic Lexington. Our guest rooms are dressed with tasteful decor with oriental rugs, 350+ thread count linens and Pati Bannister prints. Your comfort is our main concern and we strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. A full country breakfast as well as afternoon snacks is included in the room rates. We are happy to accommodate special diet needs with prior notice. Mix and mingle with other guests on the spacious verandas or in the upstairs parlor. Find a quiet corner to read and sip tea or explore the surrounding countryside.

Nature is ever present at the inn. You will likely see deer crossing the lower fields in the early morning and enjoy the antics of the mockingbirds. Perhaps the foxes will make an appearance during your stay. If you visit between April and October, our hummingbirds will delight you. They flit in and out of the veranda posts, dipping into the feeders and chasing one another around and around. Songbirds are everywhere — a portion of the front field is left wild to encourage them, and feeders by the garden keep them coming back. The chipmunks also like the feeders; they steal the sunflower seeds and plant them in the garden for our enjoyment in late summer.

This is a beautiful B&B with outstanding views of the mountains. Our rooms were large and comfortable with fireplaces and lots of extra amenities. Even though we only stayed one night, it was a wonderful experience and we hope to return for a longer stay.

The care taken by the Hawkins, the innkeepers, showed in every corner of the inn and in every aspect of the visit to the Lexington area. Our room was decorated in Wedgwood and delightfully comfortable. The view of House Mountain was breath-taking and birdsong on the hill provided background music! Freshly baked cookies were set out when we arrived. InterNet was available in a cozy and private nook. Not only was the breakfast delicious, but Mr. Hawkins presented us with a photo of us for our scrap book.

Ken took our booking over the phone. He was polite and greeted us along with his wife Joyce at our arrival. We were given a tour, received our key and allowed to relax before a buzy day in Lexington,Va. On day two our breakrast was delicious, served on the deck overlooking the Mountains. Our room was tastefully decorated, good linens and furniture,TV and clock. I also used the computer while having coffee & we watched a movie Sat. night.

Beautiful place with spectacular view of the Shenandoah Valley. It is very quiet--out from the lovely, historic town of Lexington, VA. We've stayed in lots of B&B's over the years, and this may be the best. Our room had windows on three sides, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was gourmet--and my husband is a gourmet breakfast cook--even he was impressed.

Can't say enough good about this special B&B. Panoramic views from a large covered porch, beautifully decorated spacious rooms, extraordinary breakfasts, gracious hosts. And reasonably priced. WHAT A FIND.

We really enjoyed our time away. Ken and Joyce made the visit very memberable. We loved the small touches. Chocolate in our room and the photo as a parting gift. The food was more than we expected and the views are unexpressable!

This was the best BnB experience we have ever had. First class accomodations, food and hospitality. The Innkeepers obviously put much thought into caring for their guests, and the other guests were delighted and delightful. Great job, Ken and Joyce!!!
