Garden Area
The Grounds outside the inn, over an acre of landscaped gardens and lawn, filled with perennials, trees, and shrubs, makes for pleasant strolling. Walk down to the deck overlooking the wide trout stream next to the old livery stable. Click on the photo to see more of the gardens and stream.

The Solarium
Curl up in the adjacent plant-filled solarium with a good book on a sunny day. Our luxury accommodations provide a pleasing alternative to a hotel.

Our large living room and lovely gardens give you a choice of sites for the ceremony. We welcome ALL couples, and will work with you to personalize and customize your special day.

Cozy Den
Our cozy den, the original room of the inn, built in 1780, retains a rustic atmosphere. Comfortable furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, satellite TV with DVD player, a small refrigerator stocked with sodas, snacks, books, and games make this a popular room. Even a computer if you MUST check email while you're visiting!

Dining Room
Dining at the Hummingbird Inn - picnics and special baskets by advance reservation and a full breakfast daily in our spacious dining room. Good food, great conversation, warm surroundings.

The Living Room
The Living Room, with a comfy down sectional to relax or take a nap, with its gas fireplace, it's a great place to sit and read a good book, learn about local history, play games, or enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea and visit with other guests.

Alleghany Guest Room
The Alleghany features a queen-size pencil post bed with canopy, a love seat that can become a twin bed, comfortable armchairs in front of a the hearth with fireplace stove, garden views, and afternoon sunshine. The spacious and luxurious bathroom - complete with a basketful of toilet articles, a hair dryer, and plush robes - includes a large whirlpool tub/shower combination, with oak and brass appointments.

Eleanor Roosevelt Room
Recently updated with a king-sized bed and new bath, this remains the same large and comfortable room it was in 1935 when Eleanor Roosevelt stayed here while visiting the textile mill in Goshen. The small bathroom - complete with a basketful of toilet articles, a hair dryer and plush robes - now features an oversized double shower for two, with dual showerheads.

Franklin Guest Room
Spacious, queen bed, private bath with large whirlpool tub & shower, stove-type gas fireplace, views of our barn - the old Goshen livery stable.

Robinson Guest Room
Set farther back from the front of the house than the other rooms, the Robinson offers separate access to the second floor veranda. The bedroom features a queen-size iron bed, comfortable wing chair, a cozy chaise lounge with reading lamp and a Victorian-style fireplace stove. The small, private, hallway adds additional space with a bench and mirror and connects to the private bath with plush robes and toiletries.

Teter ~ Wood Guest Room
Gracious in proportions, it features a cherry wood queen-size bed, comfortable seating and a new bathroom with a ceramic tile shower - complete with a basketful of toiletries, a hair dryer, and plush robes. A cozy electric fireplace stove sits on the old hearth. The Teter-Wood room may be entered from a private doorway on the side of the house, and has limited handicap access.
